Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has just achieved a major life milestone. She has been alcohol-free for a year straight. This is isn’t something that the viewers have seen on the show yet, but anyone who follows Lala in-between seasons is aware of her quest for sobriety.
On the Season 7 reunion, Lala told a story about drinking so much at Disney with her fiance Randall Emmett and his children that she didn’t remember any of the trip. Presumably, Lala’s sobriety will be a part of her Season 8 storyline since she never shares much from her personal life.
Yesterday, Lala shared a close-up photo of herself on Instagram. In the caption, she shared, “Today, I am 1 year sober. This is the biggest accomplishment I’ve ever had in my life and the one I am most proud of.”
The reality TV star continued, “The moments I have had in the past year have been a blessing that I have been present for. I didn’t have that before. Today, I will celebrate my 1 year birthday because it’s exciting. It is also humbling.”

Lala concluded, “Because today, and every day after that, I will fight for it. But I wont give it up for anything.”
Southern Charm star Craig Conover commented, “Proud of you, Lala.”

Her Vanderpump Rules costar Stassi Schroeder told Lala, “You’re a queen and I love you.” Kristen Doute commented, “Proud of you, beauty. Can’t wait to squeeze you later.” Brittany Cartwright wrote, “Congratulations strong girl!!!!”
Real Housewives of New York cast member Dorinda Medley told Lala that she was “inspiring as always.” Who knew that these two were friends?
