There are a lot of clout chasers in the reality TV world… and attempting to be a part of the reality TV world. Add Meghan Markle’s best friend Jessica Mulroney to the list. She now has her own reality TV show. The Meghan Effect is a very really thing, people. Love her or hate her, it really is.
What qualifies Jessica for this? Being Meghan’s best friend, obviously. I would love to know how the Duchess of Sussex feels about this one. Is she like Vince from Entourage, happy to bring everyone up with her as her star rises? Or does she feel like she’s being exploited by one more person as if her bad-mouthing half sister and thirsty father haven’t done enough?
Page Six reported that Jessica’s new reality TV show is called “I Do, Redo.” The series is about helping married couples who had issues with their wedding the first time around do the whole thing over again, hopefully without the same problems. But, hopefully, there’s at least some drama. Otherwise, that makes for a pretty boring reality TV show. Then again, people (not me) seem to love these wedding-themed reality TV shows.
Page Six reported that the show will be on Netflix and CTV, a Canadian television network. Jessica isn’t even a wedding planner, by the way. However she “helped” Meghan and Prince Harry plan their 2018 wedding in some way, shape, or form. She has appeared on morning talk shows and she has participated in interviews discussing whatever she did to help. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the Royal Family have many staff members to help with wedding and other events? How much could Jessica have really contributed?

Vanity Fair reported that Jessica “was always on the phone with Meghan, weighing in on the key decisions, like floral arrangements, canapes, and photography.” Well, then.
In an Instagram post, Jessica said, “PINCH ME MOMENT: CTV AND NETFLIX WORLDWIDE. HERE WE GO …….. When I believe in something, I go after it at full speed.” And having a best friend in the Royal Family sure helps.

Apparently, Jessica has been pushing this idea while Meghan was barely known still known as “that girl from Suits.” In that same Instagram post, she shared, “I am so blessed that I can show the world a side of myself that truly inspires me. A side that can help real couples get over tragedy or distress and hopefully make a significant difference in their lives. A side of the wedding industry that has NEVER been shown on television. An idea I have been pushing to make happen for almost five years.”
At the end of her post, Jessica gave shout outs to a bunch of people, the production company, and her followers, but not Meghan. Nevertheless, I am sure she is contractually obligated to mention their association in every episode of this new show. What’s the over/under for the amount of times Jessica will reference her BFF Meghan? Taking a sip every time she mentions her sounds like it will be a deadly drinking game to me.

TELL US- WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SHOW’S CONCEPT? DID JESSICA ONLY GET THIS SHOW BECAUSE OF HER FRIENDSHIP WITH MEGHAN?
