On last night’s episode of 90 Day Fiance Happily Ever After, we got to check in with some of our favorite cast members who have already walked down the aisle. Did you think the crazy was just restricted to the 90-day visa process? Fear not, these couples are still making each other’s lives a living hell, to this very day. Who am I to deny myself the entertainment that TLC has been providing for years?
Honestly, Nicole Nafziger , Azan Tefou , Larissa Dos Santos Lima, and Colt Johnson have enough delusion and drama alone, to carry the entire show. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t especially excited to see how both of these storylines pan out. I don’t know about you, but I am ready to see what twists, turns, and lies will be revealed this season. Let’s recap their questionable decisions and give unsolicited advice together.
Jay (Jamaica) & Ashley (Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania)
It’s a new day and a new season and Ashley Martson is still making Jay Smith’s life a living hell for joining Tinder to “meet friends” three days after their wedding. Hmmm… I bet someone is wishing she had listened to her best friend Natalie who tried to repeatedly warn her. If you marry someone whose father is nicknamed “Skinz” in Jamaica because he has so much sex, are you really surprised he’s a cheater?
Maybe being gullible is a prerequisite to being on this show. As much as I loved seeing them rush down the aisle to a smiling Elvis in a Las Vegas chapel, this had “Heartbreak Hotel” written all over it. No matter how many times you berate this man, it won’t change the fact that he is now your problem. After terrorizing Jay in the car, she lets him escape out on the side of the road to walk home.
After a long walk, Jay pleads with his warden, Ashley to reconcile their marriage. At this point, the relationship is on life support. Please do not resuscitate. Part ways. There are only so many times I can hear about TinderGate.

Pedro (Dominican Republic) & Chantel (Atlanta, GA)
Pedro Jimeno has had it with the family Chantel and is trying to convince his wife to move from Atlanta to Savannah. One positive note, the home they tour at is an upgrade to their cramped one bedroom apartment. But, it’s still not quite as nice as his mother’s home that Chantel Everett is currently helping to fund against her will. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame him for wanting to move away from constant accusations and threats of a private investigator. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Something tells me Chantel’s entire family would pick up and move before they would allow her husband to be alone with her in another city.
Chantel is still on the fence and can’t cut the cord with her family. She can’t see her husband’s perspective. She blames him for the state of his relationship with the family. Girl, this is not your boyfriend, it’s your husband, and you can’t just expect him to deal with your family’s incessant nagging about his supposed intentions. Someone, please do an impromptu intervention for this family.
Things are still tense after their blow up the previous night. Pedro doesn’t feel like his wife supports him. He doesn’t understand what he has endured with her family. Pedro even becomes emotional while trying to communicate how he feels. Ughhh… I feel bad for him. This whole situation is a mess and they both are selfish in different ways. Chantel’s family needs to take a step back and allow them to strengthen their marriage.

Colt (Las Vegas, Nevada) & his mom Debbie Larissa (Brazil)
Colt and Larissa have been married for four months and their many cats have allowed them to stay in their home. As if Larissa’s relationship with her mother-in-law wasn’t dramatic enough, she was arrested before the wedding when Colt called the police on her.
She is currently awaiting trial for domestic violence which has caused a tense environment. Colt’s mother, Debbie Johnson is still making it clear she is the woman of the house. She is in complete control of that fainting machine on wheels, they call a car. Everyone who needs to go anywhere must go through her, including her son who she still drops off and picks up from work.

Larissa meets with her attorney about the case and is shocked to find out that Colt lied to her about what he said to the police. The attorney advises her not to throw away her pseudo American dream. He thinks her best shot is to take a deal to not risk her her worst nightmare, deportation.
During dinner, Larissa admits she flushed her wedding ring down the toilet. SMH… that was the nicest thing she was ever going to get from her frugal husband. Debbie and Larissa get into a screaming match about the ring and whose fault is the state of their marriage. Personally, I blame the cats. It’s clear all five of them have been conspiring since Larissa arrived. Debbie is obviously doing their bidding.
Colt just sits there looking completely dazed and confused as his mom battles with the self-proclaimed queen. For a second, I thought I was watching an episode of Seeking Sister Wife. These two women arguing and competing for the affection of this overgrown man child gives me the creeps. Folks, be warned this is what happens when you shelter your child.

Colt tries to console his sulking wife as she complains about his meddling mother. He has no choice but to retreat back to the living room to have his mom lick his wounds after being dismissed. Larissa storms out of the house and will only talk to producers in a car outside. She claims she fears they will make her life a living hell if she says the wrong thing in front of them.
From the way it looks, they all are doing a pretty good job of that already. For some reason, Colt believes that he is actually fooling us into thinking he is innocent. Nice try, but we still see your part in the dark comedy, that is your life.

Nicole (Bradenton, Florida) & Azan (Morocco)
Nicole is still prioritizing her adorable daughter, May, and all other adult responsibilities beneath chasing after her Moroccan dream, Azan. He seemed more enamored with May than is his fiancée, giving every possible excuse not to touch her. He was even caught last season leaving multiple voicemails for other women. Despite all of that, Nicole isn’t allowing anything to get in her way of sending all of her money to her man in the hopes of luring him to the USA.
She has now been reduced to living with her sister and eating PB&J sandwiches after giving six thousand dollars to Azan to start a scheme business. One would think that if you were trying to get someone to leave their country, you wouldn’t invest in a business there. But what do I know? I’m not desperate. I wonder how she is going to break the news to her family that the store doesn’t exist?

Paola (Columbia) & Russ (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma)
Russ Mayfield and Paola Mayfield have been married five years. They are expecting a baby boy. This conservative small town boy and spicy Latina with modeling aspirations have been trying unsuccessfully for years to blend their two worlds. Russ’s mom wants to host a baby shower for his wife, but she is reluctant to go back for fear of being judged.
Paola meets with her friends to complain about Russ’s family attempting to do something nice for her. Apparently, her feelings are still hurt because she virtually has no relationship with them. She says they never made her feel a part of the family.

Elizabeth (Tampa, FL) & Andre (Moldova)
Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet are currently pregnant with their first child. Finances are tight, so they are living in one of her father’s properties until they can get on their feet. Andrei, the consummate alpha male, doesn’t seem too upset to live in a spacious home with a pool that his father-in-law can hold over his head. But he doesn’t want Elizabeth’s family to continue to insert themselves into their business. He has charged his wife with letting them know their services are no longer needed. Good luck with that. This tight knit family is going to be on you like white on rice for the duration of your marriage.
