Real Housewives of New Jersey has always had a strong emphasis on family. The relationships between the early cast members of this show run deep and there is a lot of genuine animosity along with some strong love. At the beginning of the series, Teresa Giudice was considered family by Caroline Manzo, Dina Manzo, and their sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita.
Teresa and Dina are still close, but she has made it very clear that she cannot stand OG cast members Jacqueline and Caroline. Even Teresa’s sister-in-law Melissa Gorga has issues with Jacqueline, although she is open to a Caroline comeback. Someone else who wants Caroline to return to the reality TV show is Dolores Catania. Not only that, but she wants Jacqueline back in the picture as well. Season 9 has already wrapped up filming, but bringing back the two OG’s sounds like a guarantee for drama for Season 10.
During an episode of the Kickin Back With Kelly podcast, Dolores couldn’t divulge much about Season 9, but she did tease, “It’s going to be a very good season.” Of course, pretty much every reality TV star says this about her own show, but Dolores insisted, “Let me tell you, Bravo is very happy with the season.” Let’s hope that the viewers will feel the same way. She promised, “There’s a lot of everything.” She could not be more vague, but it truthfully doesn’t matter. I will faithfully tune into this show no matter what.
Podcast host Kelly Dillon asked Dolores, “Are you still tight with Caroline and Jacqueline?” Without hesitation, Dolores answered, “Yes.” She elaborated, “I’ve known Caroline my whole entire life, even before Teresa.”
Just imagine if Caroline and Jacqueline return to the show, fighting with Melissa, Teresa, Danielle Staub, and whoever else while Dolores “Loyalty” Catania is stuck in the middle. That sounds like some premium content to me.

Dolores declared, “If they show up season ten, everybody is going to need a diaper because this is going to be crazy shit. It will be World War III.” She added, “Let me tell you. Shit is on. It’s going down.” That sounds like a show I would love to watch. Of course, I need to see how Season 9 plays out, but I’m always down for a Real Housewife comeback, especially when it can stir up some drama.
One OG who is very unlikely to return is Dina. When asked if they were still close, Dolores said “We were” without elaborating on the current state of their relationship. Even so, she did open up about their past, “We would go on vacations together. Her husband was always working and I was always single. When I met Dina she was crying in church after her divorce. Her sister Caroline said ‘You guys are a lot alike. You should hang out together.’” Dolores revealed, “I signed her marriage certificate.” That sounds like it was a very close relationship to me. Now I can’t help wondering how they feel about each other these days.
Dolores’ ex-husband Frank Catania appears on Real Housewives of New Jersey a lot and the fans love seeing the two of them together, but she actually does have a camera shy boyfriend, Dr. David Principe, who she’s been dating for a while. So is a proposal coming up? Dolores said, “We’ll see,” but it wasn’t necessarily in a hopeful or positive tone.
Not only that, but Dolores followed up with “He has a problem with people in his life. They’re very jealous and it’s a really big control in this relationship. After two years, you’d really think they’d let up. It’s like a dog with a bone.” She concluded, “Essentially it will be his decision, but I don’t have time to waste.” Will this play out on Season 9? Or will Dolores continue to keep her love life private?
