It’s Friday and time for a whole mess of news about your favorite celebutante, Kim Kardashian. We’ll start with the most exciting news, and that’s the news that Kim and her soon to be ex Kris Humphries will soon be deposed as part of their divorce proceedings. And you know what that means — all kinds of Kardashian dirt is about to emerge!
HuffPo reports that it’s still up in the air whether or not we’ll be treated to a Kim video deposition, which naturally the very shy reality queen does not want to participate in. Kris’s lawyers want her to go first. The pair’s next court date is set for August 15, with their interviews tentatively scheduled for early June. Somehow I have a feeling someone, somehow will get a copy of these depositions. And I can’t wait! Kris’s lawyers are eager to get started and make the decision about whether to pursue a fraud case. Radar has a great quote:
Kris wants a divorce trial so that the truth can finally come out. Amongst other matters, he wants to know about the Ferrari that the couple got from a very wealthy Malaysian businessman that attended the wedding. Kris was at Kim’s house when the car was delivered — it was given to both of them, but Kim has kept sole ownership and has used it extensively. She will be asked about it, under oath, on the stand at the trial.”

One person who is probably also terrified of a video deposition and inquiry into their books is Kim’s mom and pimp, Kris Jenner. The brains behind the operation, Kris has profited immensely from her all three of her daughter’s exploits, and has been an expert in parlaying their questionable fame into multiple opportunities, including a never ending reality show stint.
Radar reports that Kim may be considering firing her mom. Allegedly, she’s left Mom out of talks for Kim to be the official spokesperson for Vegas nightclub Tao, where Kim stands to make $150,000 every time she decides to grace the club with her presence. Kim did Tweet something that may be indicative of her desire to keep her bank account all on its own: “Sometimes you just have to let people grow up on their own. Even is u know what’s best 4 them. They will look back and realize their mistakes.”
While Kim’s heterosexual marriage lasted about five minutes, she does proudly support gay marriage and publicly celebrated when President Obama announced his support of same sex marriage this week. Unfortunately, some pundits are using Kim’s support as a reason why same sex marriage is wrong.
Here is Kim’s statement in support of President Obama:
“Wow… I just heard that President Obama has officially announced that he supports gay marriage!! This is such a huge step forward in our country’s fight for civil rights and I hope that today this will give hope to so many young people across the country. “We’ve never had a president so supportive of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, and today I am proud to be an American!! I’m so happy that our country is making history and moving forward. No more living in the past!”
Personally, I am proud to have Kim in my corner as a huge supporter of same sex marriage. It’s the first intelligent thing she has ever said publicly.
One person who is not being so smart publicly is Kanye West, who is still using his mysterious relationship with Kim as fodder for publicity. In a recent song that was released, Kanye makes allusions to marrying Kim. Observe the following lyric, “”I saw you in the club in a white dress/Now I want to put you in a white dress.”
A source tells US Weekly that “Kim and Kanye are 100 percent having conversations about marriage,” which sounds like a really, really smart idea. Those two definitely deserve each other.
