Even though The Real Housewives Of New Jersey is on a break this week, we can still live vicariously through their delusions and misadventures in real time! At a recent Long Island book signing for her latest memoir, Standing Strong, Teresa Giudice shared why her ghost writer’s writing has gotten a little more raw lately, how her family is doing, and what advice she has for other women out there who are going through “hard times.”
Teresa also has big plans for the future: a career as a novelist. Yup. It’s happening. The center cannot hold. Things fall apart. Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world…(Is this the first sign of apocalypse? Or was that when Tamra Judge found Jesus?) In any case, Teresa has plans of not doing certain things in the future as well – like signing anything Joe Giudice asks her to – ever.
Teresa said in an interview with Cupid’s Pulse that if she’s learned anything from her federal indictment and imprisonment, it’s to “Make sure you know what you’re signing. You really have to ask a lot of questions!” She adds that women need to “get into their husband’s business and figure it out” before they agree to put their name on anything. This advice, says Teresa, is what she wished someone would have told her. Looks like Tre is still throwing Joe squarely under the bus for all of their joint crimes, hinting at some of her latest book’s tone.
In her newest memoir, Teresa thinks readers will be surprised how “raw” and “deep” she goes with her reflection on the past years and the turmoil her family has gone through. After her last book, Tre says fans wanted more from her, so she delivered. “I think everyone wanted me to open up, and I really did — I got really deep,” she shared.

When asked what she would tell other women who experience “financial infidelity,” Teresa took a page from her book (literally?) advising, “Stand strong — nothing bad lasts forever. You will get through it, and you can’t give up.” Indeed, with her RHONJ gig, book deals, and paid appearances, Teresa is managing to keep her lavish lifestyle afloat despite Joe being locked up.
As viewers of the show might note, Teresa has opened up a bit more lately about her resentment toward Joe, which some surmise might be laying the groundwork for divorce when he’s released then deported. No matter what the future holds, Teresa claims she’s ready for it. She says, “I’m not predicting the future anymore. If you would have told me when I started this show what would happen to me, I would have never guessed that. Whatever comes my way, I’m all for it.”
Part of that future might include more writing. Yes, Teresa wants to become a novelist! She shared that the last chapter of her memoir even outlines this ludicrous proposal: “I want to write novels. I want to start getting into fiction – like, fiction novels!” Um, I don’t know about you, but I would definitely check that out. (For research purposes, of course.)
