Plenty of people were skeptical over Melissa Gorga‘s latest business venture last season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. When the reality star opened up a clothing boutique with a partner, many stories circulated that Melissa was just the “face” of the store and not the actual owner. Turns out that might be somewhat true, at least according to Kim D. Melissa’s business partner packed up the store and is now selling off the inventory at Posche Thursday night!
Our source shared, “Melissa’s store, which was really never her store, is closed down!! All of the merchandise is out. Nothing is left but the fixtures! The real owner, Jackie Robinson, took everything.” Our source adds, “The store was always just a storyline for Melissa. She wasn’t the real owner. It was never about her having a career. It was just for the show! Melissa would have had zero storyline with the store. Same like the singing, the book, and the jewelry line….”
Well, just four days ago Melissa was still showing off pieces from the store, trying to sell them. The photo above was posted to Instagram on Saturday. “New Blue velvet sneakers envybymg.com.” However, when you visit the site, you now see a message that says “We are remodeling our website and adding new inventory. Please check back soon!”
This afternoon Kim DePaola Instagrammed about the big sale happening Thursday night.
Kim posted, “This should be fun !!! Hope to see all of my fab friends , family and customers !!!! #realboss #2017goals #idontplay @bravoandy.”
Also confirming the store closing was Celebrity Magnet, aka Tom Murro. He initially Tweeted a photo of the empty store, but deleted it shortly after.
Melissa‘s rep denies the accusations that the store isn’t hers. “Melissa Gorga is and has always been an owner of the Envy by Melissa Gorga boutique. Melissa and Jackie have had a difference of opinion on how the store should be run and at this point, Jackie is no longer involved in managing the boutique, but Melissa intends to maintain the success of the boutique by managing it on her own, and she is excited to open with a new inventory of spring fashions.”
But there is a back and forth on the messy business matter. Kim D. also spoke with Us Magazine and claims, “Envy is closed. Jackie was the real owner all along. I’m going to help her liquidate everything that was in the store. The store is empty. They stripped the chandeliers, the furniture, the computer, the cameras, all the clothes, it’s all gone. Jackie stripped it all because she owns it. We’re going to have an Envy liquidation sale at Posche, the new Posche in Allendale.” Kim added, “Melissa made a deal with Jackie that she would promote, she would put pictures of herself on Instagram and she would get a percentage of what was sold.”
