How sweet it is! Real Housewives of New Jersey star in-absentia, Teresa Giudice is reportedly back in the bosom of her family after serving nearly one year behind bars on fraud charges. The raven-haired reality star was released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, CT. in the wee hours of Wednesday morning to serve the remainder of her 15-month term in the confinement of her Jersey manse. A procession of black SUV’s arrived at the Giudice home at 7:30 am and Teresa was met with warm and fuzzy greetings hanging from her front door, one of which read, “We missed you.” Teresa will now be able to celebrate the holidays with her husband Joe, four girls and the rest of her lively family.

According to a close family source who spoke to People Magazine, Teresa is “Thrilled that she is finally going home.” Upon her release, Teresa was met by her lawyer, James J. Leonard, Jr., who also confirmed the fact that she left the minimum security prison.   After vetting and signing a slew of mandatory release forms, Teresa officially kicked to the curb, her drab elastic-waist khakis and poly-blend button-down shirt mandatory prison attire at 5:01 am but was delayed until 5:30 am.

Even though Teresa is no longer a resident at the prison camp, she isn’t exactly free to come and go as she pleases in her private life. She will be required to wear an electronic ankle-monitoring device and will be under the supervision of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) until February 5 of next year. The hot-headed diva will also have to abide by some strict mandates. Teresa will only be able to leave the house with prior permission from the BOP and if she attempts to sneak out sans a federal ‘OK,” she could very well see the interior walls of her former Danbury institution.

Meanwhile, hubby Joe is counting down the days, until he too, has to leave his abode and head for a federal prison in March. The burly paisan is facing a 41-month jail term and possible deportation after completing his sentence, as he is not a U.S. citizen. According to a source, who spoke to E! News, dwelling on what the future holds for the Giudice family is not even a thought for them at the moment, they are only concentrating on savoring their best Christmas gift ever, “No one’s thinking about that right now,” a source told E! News. “No one’s thinking beyond having Teresa home again.”

Welcome home Teresa!

TELL US: DO YOU THINK TERESA WILL FOLLOW THE STRICT RULES SET BY THE BOP?
