Less than two weeks after departing Florence, Italy, the cast of Jersey Shore has returned to New Jersey to begin filming season 5! In fact the above photo of the cast was taken this week back in Seaside Heights.
And while the cast was kept in seclusion in between filming (MTV reportedly wanted them to keep their chemistry in tact) DJ Pauly D, 30, (he’s 30 years old???) was allowed to fulfill a hosting gig over the weekend in Las Vegas.
PEOPLE magazine caught up with him during which he dished about the upcoming 4th season of the show. “It’s more of the guys getting into the drama,” said Pauly D. “We’re used to it with the girls, but this season it’s a lot of the guys … I think it was as much drama as there was in Miami. Yeah, we got ourselves into some crap. Somehow we always end up OK. There was some serious stuff going on there.” And that drama will include The Situation and Ronnie getting into a fist fight.
When asked about the news that MTV plans to replace the cast after their 5th season, Pauly feels the new cast will have some big shoes to fill. “I think we’re irreplaceable,” he said. “I don’t think they could replace us. They’d just be people trying to be like us, anyway.”
Meanwhile following a widely reported break up in Italy, it appears Snooki and her ex-boyfriend Jionni LaValle are back together. The couple was photographed holding hands and kissing this week as the cast reunited with their loved ones, whom they hadn’t seen since leaving for Italy.
