Brooks has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. While living with Vicki and filming Real Housewives Of Orange County Brooks has been undergoing chemotherapy to treat the disease, but unfortunately it isn’t responding to the treatment.
This season Brooks comes under fire from Vicki’s fellow Housewives – specifically newbie Meghan Edmonds – who accuse him of making the whole thing up! Even Vicki’s daughter Briana even begins to question Brooks’ diagnosis and confides in Tamra Barney that she believes he may not really be sick!

Amid the rumors swirling around Brooks’ diagnosis, Vicki was asked on twitter why she doesn’t provide “proof” that Brooks is sick. Vicki shot back, “Stay tuned. They will all look like fools.” Vicki added that when you live with someone, they can’t fake cancer!
Brooks also defended himself and expressed his disgust that anyone would question his illness. He insists that as the season progresses we’ll see proof that he is indeed sick. “This storyline is nothing short of shameless,” Brooks tweeted. “The truth comes out.” For now, Vicki is still Brooks’ ardent supporter – she praised people on twitter for offering him support against his detractors. “He needs all the love, encouragement and support right now,” says Mama Vickster
Yes, Brooks does need all the support he can get – because even Vicki’s nearest and dearest vehemently doubt him. Brooks passive-agressively slammed Tamra for participating in questions about his diagnosis.
