Lauren Manzo grew up in front of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cameras. So should come as no surprise that the reality star is pretty open about sharing details from her upcoming wedding to longtime love Vito Scalia.
Lauren, along with the help of her mother, Caroline Manzo, have been planning up a storm. The date — next summer. The place — do you really think that she would get married anywhere other than the family-owned The Brownstone? The dress — a beautiful Vera Wang gown. But what about the guest list?

“We’re going to invite everyone in the family,” Lauren said. Noting what that means for a big Italian wedding. “The engagement party was over 200 and I kept it small. I’d be shocked if we were able to keep [the wedding] under 400. I really don’t want a big wedding but I really don’t have a choice!”
This must be good news to the ears of aunt Dina Manzo. It is well-documented that Dina and her sister Caroline are not exactly on speaking terms, rumored to be drama left over from Dina’s stint on the Real Housewives of New Jersey and her close friendship with Teresa Giudice. Shouldn’t every family put aside their differences when it comes to a wedding though? We just need to warn Dina to “bring her zen.”
Despite leaving most of the planning up to her dad, Albert Manzo, who has run The Brownstone for over 30 years, Lauren was planning on doing her own make-up for the big day….until her mother talked her out of it. “I said to my mom, ‘I may do my own makeup because that’s what I do for a living.’ She’s like, ‘No! You’re going to be so stressed. You can’t do your makeup yourself. We have to find somebody.” She adds, “I’m definitely not going to do my own hair because I’m challenged when it comes to mine.”
On top of the wedding, the family also has the premiere of their spin-off Manzo’d With Children to look forward too — but that is not the most exciting thing on the horizon for Lauren. “We don’t live together. We’re not allowed to sleep in the same bed. We’re not allowed to go on vacation together. So I’m more excited for him to be my husband and my life than for the wedding.”
Good luck Lauren! We can’t wait for the big day!
