Prince Harry is getting some backlash over his thoughts on a new memoir. The Duke of Sussex apparently didn’t appreciate some of the remarks in Tom Bower’s book Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family. A representative for the Prince says the book crosses the line, deeming it about fixation and a hit piece against Harry.
The fifth in line to the British throne is being labelled as “hypocritical” by royal insider Ingrid Seward for those comments. Harry’s book Spare put the royal family on blast with explosive allegations.
A new book called Prince Harry “brainwashed”
More alleged royal secrets are coming out. Tom’s new book spills the tea on a family dynamic involving Harry and Queen Camilla. His book alleges that she previously told a friend that Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, had “brainwashed” him. The book also discusses the concerns Prince William, and his wife Kate Middleton had about how quickly things were moving between Harry and Meghan. According to Tom, Meghan was masterminding the relationship with Harry.
Harry’s rep said that anyone “interested in facts will look elsewhere,” instead of reading Tom’s novel. For Ingrid, that is an ironic statement given Harry’s tell-all memoir from years ago. Speaking to The Express, the expert warns that “he (Harry) needs to remember what he’s said previously, because it may come back and bite him.”
Since Harry’s novel came out, he and his brother, Prince William, became estranged from one another. A September report suggests the issues between the two are far from being resolved.
Meghan and Harry stepped back from their royal duties years ago when they relocated to the United States. Harry is said to be concerned that he may lose his royal titles when William inherits the throne. Tom’s novel was released on Thursday.
