Since it’s premiere in 2010, several women have come and gone from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Soap opera icon Eileen Davidson was one of those ladies, appearing for three seasons before departing in 2017.
All these years later, Eileen revealed that she was recently asked to return to the show.
Eileen “doesn’t see” an RHOBH comeback in her future
In an appearance on CBS’s Soapy, Eileen was asked if she would ever consider returning to RHOBH. Although it was certainly flattering to be asked, Eileen responded, “Listen, I learned a long time ago not to say ‘never,’ but I don’t see it.”
According to Eileen, “They asked me to come back for a few last year, but the money and the whole thing just wasn’t worth the emotional thing.” Perhaps producers were looking for someone who could fill Garcelle Beauvais’ shoes.
Though being on RHOBH might be totally “worth it” for some people, Eileen’s just not interested. “For me, I’m not cut out for it necessarily,” she confessed. Nevertheless, she added that “one thing I’ve learned” is that some people will seemingly do anything for fame.
While she was on the show, “I was always asking the producers, ‘Would they really do something like that just because they want to be relevant?’”
After exiting the show, many fans took to social media to beg her not to go. Many felt the show needed her. One fan wrote, “I had [hoped] she was asked back as a friend for this season, because there was so much buzz around her last year! What a missed opportunity, but I also don’t blame her for declining.”
And it wasn’t just the fans who missed Eileen. Some of the cast members have also regretted her departure.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills three-part Season 15 reunion concludes Thursday, May 7 at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams the following day on Peacock.
