Craig Conover Responds to Kyle Cooke’s Business Bashing: ‘Hurt My Feelings’

Over the last few years Southern Charm fans have watched Craig Conover become quite the savvy businessman. So when he revealed over the summer that he had partnered with Spritz Society, viewers wondered what he was thinking. The crux of the issue was the simple fact that his close friend, Kyle Cooke, had founded Loverboy, and now the two would be in direct competition. There is still bad blood between the two, and Craig is sharing his hurt over the business fallout.

Kyle Cooke reignited the business feud with Craig Conover

Kyle has made it pretty clear that he didn’t think Craig should have ever worked with his competitor. The Summer House star had a slip of the tongue while attending Bravo’s Fan Fest in Miami.

Andy Cohen asked Kyle during the Yachties and Hotties panel to name one way Craig was more savvy in business. Kyle quickly corrected the host, stating, “He doesn’t actually run his own business. He gets to like, do his thing. I’m jealous of that.”

Kyle tried to backtrack at the time, saying, “What I meant, I’m a sole founder. I’m envious that he has business partners that help him run his business,” he continued. “Ultimately, it’s all about our friendship. I know we had our issues. And you’ll see that on Summer House. We had a great convo. We put it behind us. What I meant is that I’m kind of envious that, you know, he doesn’t have all of the stress on his back. Because he has business partners.”

Craig is not over the comments

Recently, Craig took a trip to the clubhouse where Andy asked the Sewing Down South founder for his thoughts on the comments.

“It just always hurts my feelings,” shared Craig. “Um, I’m really proud of what we’ve built, especially with Sewing Down South. And we’ve worked really hard, my two partners. You know, Kyle and I talked about this this summer, so it was weird that it was still kind of living in his head, especially when you said, ‘Just say something nice about what Craig has done.’ So it just hurt my feelings.”

It’s fair to assume the two Bravolebs will need to have yet another conversation about his Spritz Society investment.

You can watch Southern Charm on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
