RHOSLC Season 5 Reunion ‘Got to the Depths of the Relationships’

Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has delivered, for the most part. Newbie Bronwyn Newport tried her best to earn that snowflake. Plus, Angie Katsanevas proved why she deserved the honor of being the center snowflake. As usual, Lisa Barlow feuded with Whitney Rose. So, should viewers expect to see something new at the Season 5 RHOSLC reunion?

Going into the reunion, Whitney wanted honesty from her co-stars, and it sounds like she might have received it. “This reunion was different from others in the way that we got to the depths of the relationships,” Whitney told US Weekly. “We actually got to the nooks and crannies of the problems when, in the past, it’s just been yelling and screaming.” After that description, now I’m hungry for an English muffin. She continued, “There’s a lot of yelling and screaming, gaslighting, crying, all of the tactics, but I feel like this reunion, we actually got in a few relationships to the depths of the problems.”

As for Whitney’s relationship with Lisa? “When someone calls you a liar, they’re scared you are going to say the truth about them, but I made a truce with her that I would never purposely try to hurt her,” Whitney explained.

Lisa also touched on resolutions at the reunion. “I feel like there’s always some resolve at the reunions,” Lisa stated, “but not everybody had resolution.” She also called the status of her relationship with Bronwyn “complicated.”

Ms. Center Snowflake noted that this “was probably our best reunion.” Angie continued, “I think everyone worked through a lot of really hard issues and challenges. I think you see a lot of people that were able to reconcile that you wouldn’t expect.” However, she also teased that one cast member “might have almost” walked off. I mean, is it even a reunion if someone doesn’t storm off?

Meanwhile, Mary Cosby was still working on resolving issues with Meredith Marks. “It could come up again next year because you just don’t know with these ladies, they really forget it and let it go and move on. But you know, it’s fragile,” Mary told US Weekly. She also indicated that finally, the duo made amends.

What did Bronwyn Newport think of her first RHOSLC reunion?

Finally, Bronwyn commented on watching herself during her first season. “I felt like watching it … there were lots of things I was unhappy with myself about or felt like I could work on. So, I went in with that mindset,” Bronwyn explained, “and I think some other people did and some did not. That’s what was a recipe for disaster.”

She continued, “Lisa and I will probably not chat tonight. If I see her from afar, I wish her well [and would say,] ‘Merry Christmas, Baby Gorge.’ Maybe I’ll mail her that.”

The RHOSLC ladies aren’t the only ones singing the Season 5 reunion’s praises. Andy Cohen previously said, “I view this season as a 10 out of 10. And I view the reunion as a 10 out of 10.” Well, fingers crossed it lives up to all the hype!

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
