Report: Ally Lewber’s Friends ‘Concerned’ About James Kennedy’s ‘Temper’

Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence.

Vanderpump Rules alum James Kennedy’s temper isn’t a secret. It was often showcased on the show. Still, it seemed as though James was working on himself. However, his girlfriend Ally Lewber’s friends allegedly had some worries about James. And, unfortunately, recent events have highlighted these same issues.

Ally Lewber’s friends reportedly said that James Kennedy’s “temper has always been an issue”

James and Ally attended Kathy Hilton’s annual DirectTV Christmas extravaganza. For most of the night, James and Ally were hanging out together. However, an insider claimed that James’ “guy friend was chasing him from Kathy’s basement all the way throughout Kathy’s backyard, and James looked mad while running away.” That sounds … odd.

Later that night, the couple headed back to their home. A witness allegedly saw James arguing with a female whose identity is unknown. He allegedly grabbed the woman. When the police arrived, they saw no visible injuries to the unknown female. However, James was arrested and is facing misdemeanor domestic violence charges. He posted his $20,000 bond and was released.

Was Ally Lewber “good for James?”

Now sources are weighing in on James’ temper and his relationship with Ally. An insider told The New York Post that Ally’s friends were allegedly “concerned” about her dating James. This was based on his behavior on Pump Rules. However, once Ally’s friends got to know James, their worries eased. Reportedly, Ally’s friends thought that she was “good for James,” but “his temper has always been an issue.”

Another source claimed that this was “not normal behavior for him.” And a third insider reportedly saw James and Ally involved in “massive yelling fights” but there was no physical contact. The source also alleged that James “calmed down on his drinking, which really helped.” In addition, the insider claimed that Ally “stands up for herself” and “isn’t passive like Raquel [Leviss].” Raquel, now known as Rachel Leviss, was engaged to James for seven months before calling it quits in 2021.

The New York Post reached out to both James and Ally for comment.

Meanwhile, Ally recently commented on her relationship with James amid the Pump Rules reboot. The entire cast was let go in favor of the next generation of SURvers. “We’ve been the best that we’ve ever been,” Ally stated. “And I think it probably has to do with the fact that we haven’t been filming in a while.”

Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
