Only two episodes into Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14, it’s clear that Bozoma Saint John is an excellent cast member. The newest Real Housewife first made a splash at Sutton Stracke’s surrealist party in the premiere. By the second episode, viewers already felt like we knew her much better.
While it’s still early, Boz appears to be a better fit for RHOBH than the previous two newbies, Diana Jenkins and Annemarie Wiley. Both those ladies ended up as one and done. By contrast, the response to Boz is overwhelmingly positive. Bravo is on a hot streak of great Real Housewives newcomers this year, and Boz is no exception. Here are a few reasons why we’re loving her on RHOBH so far.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie Bozoma Saint John is an inspiration
Calling Boz accomplished is an understatement. Her “corporate baddie” career is unbelievable. While introducing herself, Boz highlighted some of the many honors she received. It’s no wonder she was able to retire in her forties! But, as she shared in a confessional, “retirement” looks different for her as well.
Boz turned her retirement from corporate America into a chance to guide and inspire other women to climb the industry ladder. On the November 26 episode, we got a glimpse at one of her popular workshops. No one can accuse her of not supporting other women. One of her workshop attendees even compared her to Beyoncé.
After conquering the business world, Boz is now entirely her own boss. “I no longer have to answer to anybody,” she beamed, adding, “If I’m sending an email, it’s to somebody that’s doing something for me, not the other way around. That’s the way I like it.” Reflecting on her “new era,” Boz said, “The last ladder I climbed up in corporate America was built by other people. This new ladder is built by me, rung by rung.”
Boz is already sharing a lot on RHOBH
Across the whole franchise, there’s lots of discourse over Real Housewives sharing their real lives. On RHOBH specifically, Erika Jayne recently called out Sutton and Garcelle Beauvais for not sharing enough. Kyle Richards also gets a lot of flack for she presents her personal life. But Boz is already very open and honest, and it’s refreshing. Her vulnerability is just as endearing to viewers as her confidence and impressive career.
In the premiere, Boz and Dorit Kemsley opened up to each other instantly. Boz could relate to her marriage woes because she went through a separation of her own. Maybe that’s one of the reasons they bonded so quickly.
In the second episode, Boz shared more about her late husband, Daniel Saint John. She spoke about how they fell madly in love, despite being total opposites. She also talked about grief in a way that many viewers can surely relate to. For instance, she admitted she still doesn’t have the right words. Tragically, she said she’s most angry that Daniel’s time with their daughter Lael was cut so short. Her story is heartbreaking, and it was brave of her to open up about it so soon.
Boz has a glamorous and enviable lifestyle
As she jokingly referenced in the November 26 episode, Boz is a millionaire. And boy, does she live a fabulous kind of lifestyle to match her net worth! Our jaws dropped as she listed just a few of the many magazines and newspapers she’s been featured in. Her enviable, aspirational success makes her the type of Real Housewives star that franchise fans love to watch.
She first bonded with Dorit over their love of fashion. While Dorit likes to think of herself as Beverly Hills’ resident fashionista, Boz might take that crown. She’s already served stunning looks on the show, and her fashion over the years is incredible. I already feel confident crowning her one of the newest Real Housewives style icons.
Her home is also gorgeous. It’s no wonder Erika couldn’t stop gushing over all the details and textures. Hopefully, we’ll get an in-depth home tour from Bravo sooner or later.
Boz fits in perfectly with the RHOBH cast
It can be intimidating for a new Housewife to join a cast. Especially this one. But Boz is a natural fit. While she was introduced to the group as Sutton’s friend, she quickly expanded her horizons and invited Erika and Dorit over to forge a friendship. As it turns out, Boz is one of the few cast members who actually lives near Erika.
She also didn’t necessarily need Sutton to introduce her to the others. Kathy Hilton already knew who she was, as we saw in the awkward “it’s Boz” “no, it’s boss” premiere interaction. And we learned Boz knows friend Amanda De Cabernet.
Hopefully, this means we can look forward to a season of interactions that don’t feel forced. This is a relief for Real Housewives fans, after all the discourse about the RHONY reboot. Instead, it’s believable that Boz would hang out with these women in Beverly Hills, even if there was no show.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is available to stream on Peacock.
