Vicki Gunvalson is a controversial national treasure. She’s the OG of Real Housewives of Orange County, and she’ll never let us forget it. Vicki hasn’t held an orange on the show for a few seasons, but she always finds a way to be the star of the series.
Recently, Vicki stopped by The Viall Files podcast to talk about RHOC and the future of the show. As always, Vicki didn’t hold back in sharing her strong opinions about her castmates. However, the most memorable moment from the interview occurred at the end, when Vicki didn’t know she was filming and kinda accidentally trashed Nick Viall, the host of the show.

Vicki Gunvalson’s goofy mishap with Nick Viall
At the end of Vicki’s interview with Nick, she said goodbye, but forgot to actually hand up the call. She can be heard talking to someone about how she only did the interview as a favor to someone else.
“I was a guest on his show,” Vicki said. “He’s got his own network, his own show, his own thing. I’ve never heard of him.” She also mispronounced his last name as “Vialls,” because of course she did.
Later on, Vicki can be heard complaining about doing the interview when she’s so busy with work. “Because I canceled [the interview] and I didn’t know that they didn’t cancel it and I’ve got my 400 meetings today. So, yeah, you owe me,” she added. “Because I’m doing this and I didn’t want to be doing this, I’m very, very busy.”
Then, in a statement to TMZ, Vicki revealed that she permitted Nick to include the hot mic clip in his show, even though she didn’t remember exactly what she had said. However, she did tell him that in order for her permission, she requested that Nick has to be a guest on her podcast.
It’s hilarious how Vicki went from having no idea who he was to basically forcing him to be on her own pod. Truly the most on-brand behavior for the OG of the OC.
