We all knew the day would come when Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley would no longer be best friends. But I never thought their friendship would go down in a Hailey’s Comet flame like it did on the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Season 13 is gearing up to give followers everything they have been asking for. Between the multiple separations, friendship fallouts, and new faces, I dare say I am already on the edge of my seat. Dorit and Kyle will be battling it out for the entire season, but fans were given a sneak peek at what to expect after a conversation that went terribly wrong.
Dorit Kemsley didn’t hold back her feelings
The most recent episode of RHOBH wasn’t hunky dory and showed Dorit finally letting go of all her pent-up rage. While it was most likely uncomfortable for Kyle, fans could empathize with Dorit. What started as a hopeful girls’ trip planned by Kathy Hilton turned into a WWE SmackDown event. It’s no secret that things have not been going well between the two friends, but I really thought that their marriage woes would reunite them in solidarity. Kyle initiates the conversation, but Dorit reminds her foe that she is the one who stormed away from the last chat.
Dorit makes her points. Long-winded as ever, the mother of two notes the “depth of her hurt and pain.” These feelings haven’t just manifested overnight. For multiple seasons, fans watched as Kyle silenced Dorit. Eventually, Dorit was bound to explode. The fight was inevitable, and I would partly blame Dorit’s lack of voice as a catalyst. Issues could have easily been nipped in the bud if only Dorit had just clearly expressed her feelings earlier on. Instead, she held on to her anger, which turned into a grudge, leading the two women to this fallout.
Kyle Richards has a laundry list of offenses against Dorit Kemsley
Once Dorit exorcised her demons on the child actor, Kyle began listing her problems with Dorit. And let me tell you, the duo is fractured, as I thought the list would never end. The Halloween actress noted that Dorit was always too worried about her standing in the court of public opinion. Naturally, Dorit countered, stating she feels Kyle is at the mercy of what others think of her. Exhibit B is yet another reason why this fallout was inevitable. As an outside viewer, I think both are at fault for trying too hard to be the fan favorite. Between one-upping and the constant competition, it would be hard for any friendship to sustain.
Kyle’s complaining made me feel like Dorit just couldn’t win. She was damned if she did and damned if she didn’t. There is a lack of respect between both women. This theory was proven when Kyle shouted, “God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason.” But funnily enough, the new and improved Dorit is over being told what to do and tells Kyle, “You f*cking listen.” Atta girl, Dorito.
Trust was a farce for Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards
However, these two Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars never stood a chance because of their lack of trust. Dorit fell in line for years and was one of Kyle’s top soldiers. But the moment she called Kyle out regarding her relationship with Morgan Wade, the actress couldn’t take the heat and placed her anger onto her so-called best friend. It all comes down to Kyle simply being upset with Dorit for not blindly backing her. But we all know that isn’t a true friendship.
The final straw for Kyle was when Dorit showed everyone “the text.” For those who might have forgotten, Kyle sent Dorit a long message before the reunion for Season 12, which felt a bit manipulative to the fashionista. Kyle had already iced Dorit out for months, but that didn’t matter. The mother of four claimed she would have never broken that level of trust, noting Dorit was a bad friend. The hypocrisy runs deep. As we all know, Kyle is no angel and has often bashed Dorit on social media. Sadly, these two were a disaster in the making, and I doubt they can reconcile.
