Bravo’s Jeff Lewis has always had strong opinions whether it be about an ill-fated series or an annoying Real Housewives star. So it wasn’t a surprise to hear that Jeff also had thoughts on the separation between Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley. I was just surprised to hear he wasn’t backing the fashionista.
Dorit Kemsley talked about separation during RHOBH premiere
Like any good Bravo housewife going through a major life crisis, Dorit is opening up to the cameras about her dysfunctional marriage. For years, viewers believed the couple had it all, but there was much more to the story. Or at least according to Dorit. While “single PK” flaunted his new look out at dinner, Dorit became more agitated by the ordeal. She shared with the cameras that a big reason for their separation was his alcohol addiction. PK admitted that he “didn’t know how bad I had this disease,” but it felt like Dorit wanted more of the blame to fall on the father of two.
PK made himself very clear. He sometimes didn’t like his wife and felt she had an issue listening to his complaints. For PK, it felt like Dorit was happy letting him make all the changes while she sat back on her laurels, noting, “I think you went low very quickly. I think you knew my touch points.” It was clear (to me) that PK was made to feel less than so many times, it finally broke the camel’s back.
Jeff Lewis weighs in on PK and Dorit’s separation
Jeff recently appeared on the Viall Files podcast and gave an inside look into the couple’s marriage issues. Dorit and PK have lived separately for the past six months, but the Flipping Out alum has already formed his own hypothesis. Jeff went as far as to suggest that PK’s alcoholism wasn’t the root cause of their issues. He told listeners, “I’m a little bit Team PK, and I’ll tell you why: Because I have insider information.”
Naturally, listeners were keen to figure out what news Jeff might have, especially since the current season of RHOBH has started to air. “I know we’re trying to blame it all on his alcoholism. I really don’t know the status of his drinking. But I will say I did hear that he felt like she has changed since the show and that the show has become a major priority, and I think over — he felt, and I’m not speaking for him — over his marriage and his family,” Jeff continued.
Jeff Lewis is calling out Dorit Kemsley’s parenting
Jeff had all the tea as he spouted that he had never seen Dorit playing at the park with her two children. I got the impression that these two are neighbors. The podcast guru added, “I’m sure she’s gone to the park with her kids. But look, I don’t always go to the park with my kids. In fact, I go once in a while. Most often, my nanny takes my daughter. But when I’ve been, and also when my nanny’s been, never seen Dorit with those kids.” Jeff made it clear that he didn’t feel the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was actively interested in her children’s lives.
Now is a good time to point out Jeff has never been particularly kind to Dorit in the media, but talking about someone’s kids is pretty low.
Jeff added, “She could be a good mother, you know, behind closed doors. But she’s just never been there, as far as I’ve never seen her there,” he noted. As RHOBH fans know Dorit and PK announced their separation back in May with a joint social media post. The duo wrote, “We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years. And continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together.”
Both agreed, “To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children. We have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children.” For Jeff, something doesn’t feel right. And there is no doubt he will try his best to get to the bottom of the drama.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock.
