Dancing with the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko is trying to defend the indefensible. He’s attempting to make a case for his choosing to break up with former partner Brooks Nader over text. Who wants to tell him that there is really nothing he can say that can make that okay?
Not that it’s really that surprising that the DWTS couple are no more. After all, they started so quickly and got caught up in the thrill of the proximity and the show. It isn’t too shocking that coming down from the high after elimination may have caused the flame to fizzle.
Gleb Savchenko wanted to write everything down
However, while many did not necessarily expect the relationship to go the distance, it was still pretty shocking to learn Gleb broke up with the Sports Illustrated model through text.
“There’s a lot of things,” Gleb explained in an interview with Too Fab. “Sometimes you can be mixed up in a conversation. So I always like to write everything down. When I wrote that down, it felt like was perfect. Because the moment you start a conversation, you might get lost. So it’s better just to write it down.”
Someone should have told Gleb that you can write down everything you want to say to someone when ending things but still give them the courtesy of a face-to-face conversation.
The couple denied romance rumors for so long but no one was fooled. They were touchy-feely behind the scenes and everyone could see a spark. It eventually culminated in them getting matching tattoos and kissing the entire time.
But, it apparently wasn’t meant to last. And everyone was curious what happened, including DWTS’ Ezra Sosa and Rylee Arnold who confronted Gleb about Brooks on a TikTok video. He was a bit vague but did share that they haven’t spoken since their split last month, which isn’t that surprising considering that he had broken up with her virtually.
Gleb did say in Ezra’s video that he missed Brooks though and hinted that maybe they could… he stopped before finishing his sentence. Maybe they could meet? Talk?
I guess we can chalk up another relationship to the altar of reality TV.
