Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is featuring a new feud, and it was rather unexpected. Kyle Richards and her former bestie, Dorit Kemsley, are at odds this season. And according to the Season 14 RHOBH trailer, their disagreements have turned nasty. Last season, Dorit and Kyle started to grow apart.
Dorit Kemsley started to feel “confident and stronger”
Of course, the timing of Dorit and Kyle’s failing friendship is curious. After all, both ladies were separated from their husbands. Shouldn’t that experience have bonded them together? Nope! As for her separation from PK Kemsley, her hubby, Dorit hasn’t ruled out a reconciliation in the future.
Plus, Dorit “is firing with all cylinders” this season, according to Andy Cohen. And Dorit’s RHOBH co-star, Garcelle Beauvais, said that “she is on fire, and I think that’s because a lot of things are going on with her.”
Now Dorit is addressing how she felt about this season. “I came out of a very dark time. Post-home invasion, it was really difficult and really dark,” Dorit told US Weekly. “I definitely lost my voice and confidence. When I started to feel more like myself – confident and stronger – and feel better going into this season, I was over it. I was over those who think they can walk all over you at your weakest,” she added.
While filming Season 14, Dorit added that she “wasn’t taking sh*t” from anyone. And Beverly Hills viewers can expect a “very clear, very sure, very confident, very strong, very firm” Dorit. And it looks like we will still have a very chatty Dorit.
Of course, Dorit had to consider her split with PK before signing on for Season 14. “I knew what was going on with me personally and knowing that to do the show and to go into filming, you really take a moment and you think, ‘Should I do this? Do I wanna do this?’” she remarked. “But ultimately, I thought, yes. Because if you’re gonna do it, you go all in and you have to lean into it and just be open and honest and vulnerable.”
Overall, Dorit is pleased with the season. “It is an exciting season. It’s thrilling,” she explained. “We’ve got some fresh blood, a new Housewife who’s amazing, beyond.” Dorit is referencing newbie Bozoma Saint John. “Very smart, very inspiring, very authentic, and down to earth,” Dorit added. She continued, “Funny enough, the one that had known me the least was the most there for me. It’s crazy.” The duo have become friends outside of the show.
It sounds like we will be seeing a new Dorit as she navigates these huge life changes. I’m here for it!
