Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon File Request for Reconsideration in Eminem Trademark Battle

The battle of the blondes continues between Gizelle Bryant, Robyn Dixon, and Eminem. The Real Housewives of Potomac stars tried to trademark the name of their podcast, “Reasonably Shady.” However, the rapper said not today, as he is the true shade assassin. It was also recently ruled that Eminem would not have to be deposed to court for the matter. But Gizelle and Robyn are taking a cue from Eminem’s song “Won’t Back Down” and have filed a request for reconsideration to get him into the courtroom.

Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon argue Eminem’s “deposition is critical”

Eminem was on his way to victory regarding the “Reasonably Shady” trademark battle when it was ruled he would not have to be deposed. The best the ladies were going to get was his manager, Paul Rosenberg. While it’s been a long battle for the duo, they are not giving up. Gizelle and Robyn are trying again to get Eminem to sit for a deposition.

In Touch Weekly reported the details of their request for reconsideration. Their reasoning for the request was that it was “critical.” They said, “Mr. Mathers’ deposition is critical in determining ownership, validity of rights, state of mind that pertains to fame, along with actual confusion issues, and current use.”

They continued, “By limiting [Gizelle and Robyn] recourse to only deposing a third party witness, and not the [Eminem] himself, and then being forced to respond to a Motion for Summary Judgment where a number of facts will remain in dispute because [Gizelle and Robyn] were not given an opportunity to depose [Eminem], [Gizelle and Robyn] will be denied the opportunity to present a full-throated defense to [Eminem’s] premature motion.”

During their first go around, their request for Eminem to be deposed was denied. It was reported that they had “failed to “demonstrate that” Eminem’s “deposition, rather than (or in addition to) Mr. Rosenberg’s deposition, is needed to respond to the summary judgment motion, particularly given Mr. Rosenberg, not [Eminem], provided the declaration supporting the motion.”

It will be interesting to see if any of this will be covered in the upcoming season of RHOP.
