To say that Shannon Beador’s journey during Season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County has been rough is the understatement of 2024. Shannon’s been dealing with a lot, from legal drama with her ex-boyfriend John Janssen, to the fallout after her DUI. Despite it all, Shannon has persevered to make great TV for all of us. Maybe Bravo should give her a raise. Or, the center orange at the very least.
The Shannon and John of it all on RHOC is a massive layered mess to untangle. Alexis Bellino is making sure she’s as involved as possible in the name of “defending” Johnny J. Meanwhile, John is suing Shannon for $75,000 after he gave his then-girlfriend at the time money for a facelift and other expenses.
Shannon is determined not to pay that man a cent, and breaks down nearly every time she talks about it. Now, we’re learning a little more about the nasty legal battle.

Recently, In Touch obtained court documents that show Shannon recently filed a motion to explain her side of the story. She’s denying John’s version of events. ” “[John] and [Shannon] were in a romantic relationship for over 4 years. During the relationship, the parties regularly shared their finances and assisted each other with certain financial contributions,” Shannon’s lawyer told the judge.
Then, her lawyer continued by saying that John claims he gave Shannon the money in the form of loans, but no terms for those loans were laid out, including interest and timing. “Defendant denies that said monies were loans, but were simply monies shared during the relationship,” the filing reads.
Many find it icky for John to kick Shannon while she’s down. One thing’s for sure – Alexis will definitely have something to say about Shannon’s latest filing.
