Another day, another Hollywood divorce. The latest celebrity couple to call it quits is Leah Remini and her husband Angelo Pagán. The two have been together for 28 years, 21 of those being married.
But the former King of Queens star took to Instagram on Thursday to announce their split in a joint statement.
“It’s what’s best for us”
“Well, here we are. After 28 years together and 21 years of marriage, we have decided to file for divorce. This decision came after a lot of thought and care, and as hard as divorce is, we are approaching this with a positive outlook because we know it’s what’s best for us,” they wrote.
“We both changed, as people do, and we got used to playing roles that didn’t fit us anymore,” they continued. “After a lot of effort and consideration, we’ve decided to take this step, which reflects who we are today.”
While the two revealed they are “sad,” it seems as though the breakup is as harmonious as can be, at least for now.
They went on, “We’ve been best friends for so many years. We are still celebrating holidays together, watching our favorite TV shows together, and gathering as a family. Our bond is still strong — it’s just evolved into something different.”

Leah is a longtime television star and known bestie of Jennifer Lopez, who just so happened to file for divorce last week from Ben Affleck.
In recent years, Leah was best known for breaking free of the Church of Scientology. She had been a part of the controversial religious organization for over 30 years, after joining as a child.
Leah even made a documentary about her leaving the church and became a vocal advocate for fellow victims of the organization.
Bravo fans thought they might have a shot at Leah joining the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2021. It was reported at the time that she was “in talks” with the network to join the cast, but it never materialized.
