Ariana Madix is killing her new job as the host of Love Island USA. Her outfits are on point, and her energy has added so much to the series. Vanderpump Rules fans know that Ariana is no stranger to a reunion. In fact, the Season 11 Pump Rules reunion upset Ariana because she had to interact with her cheating ex-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval. So, now that Ariana is hosting her first reunion, she has some butterflies.
Ariana Madix is “excited” to catch up with the couples from Love Island USA
Ariana spoke with Entertainment Tonight’s Brice Sander about helming the reunion. First, Brice asked Ariana what skills she had learned from reunions that she could utilize as the host.
“So, when I saw Andy [Cohen] recently at Watch What Happens Live, we were talking backstage, and I was telling him how excited I was to be basically in his position, and asking him advice,” Ariana explained. “He did say that there were things that … me going through it on that side would help. And I think that some of that is just encouraging the Islanders to say how they feel regardless of how they think maybe the audience will feel.”
The VPR star added, “And to be very open-minded and non-biased.” It sounds like a complicated assignment, but Ariana always delivers.
“I feel like, you know, of course, I have my own personal opinions on everything, but I think it’s my job to just show up, ask all the questions. Maybe stoke the fire a little bit,” she stated.
As for what makes Ariana anxious about her new gig? “I’m a little bit nervous about us getting into the Andrea [Carmona] dumping conversation because I know that that is touchy … It’s a hot topic for the Islanders and a hot topic for the audience,” Ariana admitted. “They’ll be something really … never before seen or done at a Love Island reunion with that.”
However, Ariana is also eager to host the reunion. “I’m excited just to see where all these couples are at,” she stated. “I’m very curious to see and talk about like, who’s been hanging out since they left the island.”
Well, Ariana has not only made Andy proud but many of her fans. She landed the Love Island USA hosting role and is returning to Chicago on Broadway. She makes it look easy!
