Four years after being summarily dismissed from Vanderpump Rules, Stassi Schroeder is going back to work for her old boss, Lisa Vanderpump.
Stassi has been cast in Season 2 of Hulu’s SUR in the South of France, aka Vanderpump Villa.
In addition to her role on Vanderpump Villa, Stassi’s also signed a deal with Hulu to headline her own show. She’ll reportedly be starring in a comedic half-hour docuseries titled “Stassi Says.”

in 2020, both Stassi and Kristen Doute were fired from Pump Rules for racist behavior. After seeing a photo of a Black woman who was wanted for robbery in Los Angeles, Stassi and Kristen thought the photo looked like their coworker, Faith Stowers. So they made a police report. The woman, of course, was not Faith, and the two former SUR servers were fired. Stassi not only lost her job but was dropped by both her talent agency and her public relations firm.
Since then, Stassi has made an effort to educate herself on race relations. She published a mea culpa in the form of her 2022 book “Off With My Head.”
“I just understood entirely and completely how wrong I was,” the mom of two wrote. “I couldn’t even believe I had questioned Black Lives Matter. The realization that I was one of those freaking Karens who say ‘What about all lives matter?’ was a seriously tough pill to swallow.”
The book became a NYT bestseller, as was her first book, “Next Level Basic.”
The Valley or the Villa?
Now that Stassi is married with two small children, fans think she and husband Beau Clark would fit perfectly into the cast of The Valley. Many of her former VPR castmates are already there. Kristen is on the show, as are Stassi’s former boyfriend, Jax Taylor, and his now-estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright.
But Stassi has repeatedly denied having any interest. She claims she was asked to participate in a sizzle reel for The Valley but turned it down. “Every fiber of my being voted no — like, truly,” she said at the time. “It’s not my group of friends … I don’t want to go and do things I wouldn’t normally do. I don’t want to disrupt the life that I have right now, because I really like my life.”
Lisa’s always had a soft spot for Stassi, who originally came to SUR as “a friend of Pandora’s” (Lisa’s daughter). At the time of her firing, Lisa said she would have given Stassi another chance. She’s also kept in touch with Stassi over the years, so it’s no surprise that she’d bring her back for the Villa.
