Tom Sandoval Dropping Lawsuit Against Ariana Madix, Blames Now-Fired Lawyer

On July 16, news broke that Tom Sandoval would sue Ariana Madix. The Vanderpump Rules stars already faced charges of revenge porn from Rachel Leviss, and Tom’s case seemed to build on Rachel’s.

Tom’s lawsuit held that Ariana accessed, copied, and distributed material on his phone without his authority. Whether such accusations were true or not, the public at large slammed Tom for the lawsuit. It seemed like Tom was grasping at straws to get any win against Ariana.

Tom quickly quieted his social media presence, briefly deleting his Instagram. Now, just a few days later, the worm is back online with an update on the lawsuit.

Tom claims he didn’t know he was suing Ariana

On July 18, Tom made an Instagram post clearing the air around the lawsuit. “Late Tuesday afternoon, my attorney, Matt Geragos, whose advice I trusted, called me about the Cross-Complaint in the lawsuit against myself and Ariana,” he wrote. “He assured me that the action was customary and strictly preventative in these types of lawsuits.”

Tom claimed Geragos “urged” him “to agree” to the cross-complaint. He continued, “The words ‘New Lawsuit’ or ‘Suing’ were not articulated to me. I should’ve done more of my due diligence on the matter.” Tom then confirmed that he fired Geragos after realizing what was actually happening.

“In no way am I suing Ariana,” Tom clarified. “The action against Ariana brought on my behalf is being removed. I hold no ill will or vindictiveness toward Ariana.” Uh-huh. Tom concluded by expressing how quickly he hoped to have Rachel’s lawsuit done and over with. Additionally, Tom disabled comments on the post.

As with anything Tom says, the measure of truth here is basically anyone’s guess. In all likelihood, Tom probably doesn’t know much about legalities. Consequently, it’s largely assumed Bravo may have intervened with a stern phone call to Mr. Sandoval.

Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
