Never in a million years did we expect to be covering a potential romance between Chet Hanks and Kim Zolciak, but here we are. Those two exist on different planets, but thanks to The Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets, they came face to face last year, possibly in more ways than one.
After filming wrapped, rumors started swirling that Kim and Chet had a showmance and possibly even a hookup. At first, they were tight-lipped about their relationship. Now, that premiere of the new show is on the horizon, the two are opening up about what really went down in the villa.
Kim and Chet have chemistry
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star finally opened up bout her relationship with Chet when talking to E! News. She didn’t want to give too much away about the show, but she made it clear that she and Chet had some positive interactions.
“I think Chet is great,” Kim said. “He’s just a great guy and we had some very deep conversations that you’ll see. You have to stay tuned and see what happens.”
Deep conversations and Chet Hanks are two things that don’t necessarily go together. However, we’ll take Kim’s word for it. Meanwhile, Chet gushed about the soon-to-be-divorced mother of six.
“Kim is just cool as hell. We instantly got along. She’s very savvy, she’s very witty. She’s got a smart mouth,” Chet noted.” I’m drawn to people like that, like fun banter. I still keep in touch with Kim and we just got along great.”
Whether or not the two shared more than a conversation is still up in the air. Neither of them wanted to admit if a hookup went down in the house. Chet said he couldn’t “confirm or deny.” Suddenly, these two want to act like they have shame and morals.
“You have to stay tuned and see what happens,” Kim teased.
Surreal Life: Villa of Secrets premieres Tuesday, July 23, at 9/8c on MTV.
