Ariana Madix has had a terrible, horrible, no-good, horrifically sh*t week. First, her Vanderpump Rules ex that-shall-not-be-named sued her after his freely shared passcode helped her learn about his affair. His deception shattered his perfectly curated image, shocking Katie Maloney zero. But now, Ariana has a second lawsuit, and Katie has her first, filed by their former Something About Her business partner Chef Penny Davidi.
You know what to do, ladies. Put a bun on it. Get those lawsuit lobster rolls (and lawsuit lettuce wraps for the vegans) ready because those legal fees are going to suck.
VPR Season 12 should be filmed in a courthouse
Ariana and Katie hired Chef Penny to help curate their menus. But during VPR Season 11 Episode 14, the girlies revealed they’d already parted ways. Chef Penny wanted to be a partner, but instead, Ariana and Katie offered her a salary plus 10% of the profits on the SAH storefront. But Chef Penny said neh. Instead, she’s suing.
TMZ first broke the news of Penny’s filing. In the dockets, Chef Penny claims that Ariana and Katie backed out of their business agreement for Something About Her. According to Chef Penny, the girls promised her a 10% partnership. All she had to do was help them prepare for their grand opening.
Because they promised, Chef Penny performed substantial work behind the scenes, like filing trademarks and planning sandwich concepts. Chef Penny states that Ariana and Katie agreed to pay her a monthly fee of $7,500 until January. After that, her monthly rate would increase to $10K. However, Chef Penny now claims that Ariana and Katie are denying the existence of her partnership. Hence her lawsuit.
Chef Penny states that she has plenty of evidence to help support her claims. Therefore, she’s looking for a judge to help uphold the terms of this agreement.
