Shep Rose’s messy behavior at BravoCon in November 2023 was a turning point. The reality TV’s stars antics forced him to re-evaluate his actions. It was a topic of discussion during the Southern Charm Season 9 Reunion.
However, the show aired in January of 2024, and fans are keen to know whether Shep followed through on his commitment. As such, the Bravolebrity shared more about what happened behind the scenes after BravoCon during a recent interview.
Andy suggested Shep would want to make decisions “on his own terms”
Shep told Everyday Warrior podcast host, Mike Sarraille, that he got a major “wake-up call” from Bravo producer Andy Cohen after the Las Vegas event.
“Somebody said ‘You can either go to Vegas for fun or for work. You can’t do both.’ What I failed to realize is that I was there somewhat to work. And to meet all the fans and be as gracious and as kind and appreciative of all them. And to take part in all the events, earnestly, and in sound mind and body,” Shep explained.
The first night was without incident. Shep “behaved” himself at the start of the fan convention. However, he soon fell to the urge to drink and gamble.
“I was loud and obnoxious,” he admitted of his behavior during one of the BravoCon panels.
Bravo executives were not happy with the situation. And Shep “got into a little bit of trouble with some of the powers that be.”
Shep then got a “wake-up call” from Andy in the form of a discussion about his future on the network.
“I got a really lovely call from Andy, who is a great guy. He was just like, ‘Look, I want you around and I want you to be around. And I don’t want you not to have the decision to be around. You want things to end on your own terms if possible.’ And it was a great call,” Shep revealed.
Since that discussion, Shep has re-evaluated his life and even attended a wellness retreat. Perhaps he will share some of that inner work on the next season of Southern Charm
