Craig Conover is always authentically himself on camera. He’s put his life out on reality TV since 2014, despite sometimes being mocked for his decisions.
The Southern Charm star shocked his ex, Naomie Olindo when he decided to pursue “his sewing” over a career in law. He stuck to his convictions and now owns a six-figure business called Sewing Down South.
Now, Craig is teasing a career shift into politics. And his girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, is bemused by it all.
Craig says he “can really do some work”
Craig appeared on the July 2 episode of his girlfriend’s new show, In Bed With Paige DeSorbo. It’s an interactive show, courtesy of Amazon Live.
Early in the conversation, Paige asked Craig if “running for office in 2024” was on his agenda. The Southern Charm veteran shared a smile and replied in the affirmative.
“I just think I’d be so good at it. I can fix a lot of the stuff going on,” he claimed.
“Craig thinks he can land a plane if it was going down… you can’t,” Paige teased him.
The entrepreneur is notably interested in conspiracy theories. He explained, “Statistically, as long as you can get ahold of someone on the ground, 50% chance you can do it. They’ve tested it,” Craig answered.
“I feel like a man wrote that,” Paige countered. “There’s no situation where 50% of people can land a plane.”
Summer House fans will know that the couple has a very specific and teasing banter. Craig continued to defend his position before steering the conversation back to politics.
“There are autopilot features and it’s like a video game. I’m running to the cockpit no matter what,” the Sewing Down South founder said. “And [with] international affairs, I can really do some work. I just think someone needs to really be tough on some people.”
Craig’s got ambitions for a federal “office.” That could include a representative, senator, or even President. Dare we imagine a White House adorned with Sewing Down South merch?
