Savannah Chrisley Predicts Tough Return To Normal Life for Mom Julie

The Chrisley family are celebrating a rare win this summer. Julie Chrisley successfully appealed her seven-year prison sentence, resulting in a shorter prison stay. The exact details are still to be determined, but Savannah Chrisley is already preparing for her mom’s return home with big hopes and even bigger concerns.

Mom is coming home

Throughout the entire legal ordeal with the Chrisleys, Savannah has used her podcast, Unlocked, as a source for all information on her criminal parents. Naturally, when the good news about Julie’s appeal arrived, Savannah rushed home to her microphone and started recording.

Savannah and the family’s legal representatives are hopeful that Julie will be home by 2025. It’s a huge difference from her original release date of August 2028. After prison, she’ll spend some time in a halfway house. Still, Savannah said there were concerns that her mom would struggle to reacclimate to society.

According to Savannah, her mom could suffer from “PTSD” from her time in jail. She claimed that the prison system “broke” her mom in just a few short days and has allegedly been subjected to abuse. The disturbing realities of prison have hardened the Chrisley Knows Best matriarch, and it might take some time to get her back.

“She was like, ‘You know, you can’t leave me when I come home. Right?'” Savannah recalled. “And I was like, ‘What do you mean? She was like, ‘I mean, I know you wanna have your own life, and I want you to do that… But for the first few months, you’re gonna have to stay with me. Like, we’re gonna have to get adjusted.'”

Hopefully, that adjustment period consists of a thorough rundown of United States tax law. Recidivism is a real thing, and we don’t want Julie entangled with any more financial crimes.
