RHOP Legal Battle Intensifies: Deborah Williams Issues Rebuttal Against Keiarna Stewart for $7 Million

Deborah Williams just issued a $7 million rebuttal to Keiarna Stewart, after her Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 “Friend Of” costar slapped her with a lawsuit post-filming. To recap, right as the cameras shut down on Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby’s fashion line launch in Season 8, the drinks and the fists started flying. As a result, Keiarna sued Deborah for a whopping $10 million. Now Deborah has her own, slightly cheaper, bone to pick. So, she is coming after Keiarna for $7 million.

Deborah’s counterclaim

TV Deets has done the Lord’s work, finding the court documents that hold Deborah’s counterclaims to Keiarna’s lawsuit. To start, Deborah’s filing explains that during the night of Gizelle and Ashley’s launch, allegedly, Candiace Dillard began taunting her. “Throughout this event, Ms. Bassett’s verbal attacks were exceptionally vicious towards Ms. Williams. The name calling and instigation was abnormally excessive—seemingly intentionally provocative,” Deborah’s docs state.

In Deborah’s take, after she exchanged some words with Candiace, Candiace picked up a bottle of champagne “as if to throw it at” her. Meanwhile, Keiarna began aggressively defending Candiace, which led to her punching Deborah “square in the face.”

According to her counterclaim, Deborah had never even met Keiarna before this event. Therefore, she’s at a loss as to why Keiarna even inserted herself into this mess. Wildly, Deborah’s attorneys are also accusing this altercation of being staged. This is because Bravo’s cameras were down, yet someone at this party still recorded and leaked this fight out to TMZ.

As for who did this, she isn’t sure. Yet. But Deborah is sure of one thing. She knows exactly what Keiarna needs to now pay out.

Overall, Deborah is looking to collect $3 million “plus punitive damages, plus interest and costs for the assault and battery” in response to Count 1, assault and battery. On Count 2, which lists intentional infliction of emotional distress, Deborah is seeking another $3 million “plus fees.” But, she is also looking to add on another $1 million “and costs” for defamation. This brings her countersuit to $7 million.

Obviously, RHOP Season 9 will likely be speaking on this topic even more.
