During Season 13 of Real Housewives of New Jersey, co-stars Rachel Fuda and Jenn Fessler hit it off. Their friendship seemed solid and authentic. Then Season 14 of RHONJ rolled into town and uprooted all the relationship dynamics. Suddenly, Jenn and Rachel were on the outs.
Rachel and Jenn haven’t spoken in months
Jenn spoke previously about her feud with Rachel. “So, if Rachel and I were in a situation where we never saw each other again, I don’t know that either one of us would necessarily make it happen,” she stated. She added that she would be “very sad about it.”
So, what happened to fracture this friendship? During the Season 14 premiere, Teresa Giudice brought up internet rumors about Rachel’s husband, John Fuda. She called him the “biggest drug dealer in Bergen County.” Naturally, Rachel was upset. But when she saw Jenn hanging out and talking with Teresa, she was furious.
“I definitely feel betrayed. We don’t have a friendship anymore,” Rachel previously said of Jenn. Then, at the relaunch of Danielle Cabral’s Boujie Kidz line, Teresa and her daughter, Gia Giudice, complained about John talking about Gia. Of course, Jenn jumped into the drama.
She reassured them that John was not saying anything malicious. Afterward, when Jenn explained to Rachel, Margaret Josephs, and Melissa Gorga how she had defended John, Rachel was angry. She previously asked Jenn not to talk about her or her husband with Teresa.
According to Bravo, the friendship between Jenn and Rachel is over – for now. “If you had given me a bingo card, none of this was on it for Season 14,” Rachel stated. “My relationship with Jenn Fessler was surprising … umm … disappointing and something that I really wasn’t expecting.” She added, “We haven’t spoken in almost five months.”
For Jenn, being able to defend a friend while still hearing out the other person’s feelings is important. For everyone else on the RHONJ cast? Not so much.
“Listen, I only wish Rachel and her entire family good stuff. She hasn’t been so nice, so generous necessarily about me in the press and that’s okay,” Jenn stated. “I’m not giving up. I’m hoping we can come back together in some capacity.”
I would love that. I enjoyed Jenn and Rachel’s friendship last season. If Messy Fessy could stop hopping into all the drama, and Rachel was a bit more understanding, maybe that could happen. Fingers crossed, people!
