Watch What Happens Live will celebrate its 15th birthday on air on July 16, 2024. The Bravo talk show has been entertaining viewers for over a decade and many iconic faces have stopped by the Clubhouse to gossip with Andy Cohen.
In the last 15 years, WWHL has solidified its place within pop culture, with nearly 17 million people tuning into the show in 2021, Deadline reported. From Bravo stars airing out their co-stars secrets to A-list celebs sharing some headline-worthy confessions, WWHL never ceases to keep us on our toes.
In honor of the show turning 15, let’s take a look back at some of the best Watch What Happens Live guests of all time.
NeNe Leakes
NeNe Leakes’ 2009 appearance on Watch What Happens Live is one of the more memorable episodes in the show’s 15-year history. During the show, Andy took a call from NeNe’s Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star Kim Zolciak, whom she was famously feuding with at the time.
Nene went off on Kim and delivered one of the most famous lines in Bravo history: “Close your legs to married men.” The RHOA star has had many memorable appearances on WWHL but this one takes the cake.
Meryl Streep
Legendary film actress Meryl Streep stopped by the Clubhouse in 2013 and she didn’t disappoint. During a game of Plead the Fifth, the Devil Wears Prada star was asked to play a game of Shag, Marry, Kill with three of her former co-stars. Her options were Dustin Hoffman, Jack Nicholson, and Robert Redford. Lucky for us, she did not plead the fifth. Instead, she told Andy she would marry Robert, shag Jack, and kill Dustin. Iconic!
Ray Liotta
Ray Liotta played a round of Plead the Fifth during a 2020 appearance and fans were shocked by the Actor’s honesty. During the game, he threw some serious shade at his fellow thespians Sigourney Weaver and Clint Eastwood. He told Andy that Sigourney was his worst onscreen kiss and labeled Clint as the most overrated actor of the 80s and 90s. Brutal.
Mariah Carey
Mariah Carey is known for being a bit of a diva and she certainly lived up to her reputation when she appeared on WWHL in 2016. Andy asked the popstar to play a game based on her infamous interview where she said she “didn’t know” Jennifer Lopez. Andy ran through a number of names in the music world and Mariah said if she knew them or not. The “Fantasy” Singer was as shady as you can imagine. She brushed off some of the biggest names in the pop world, saying she doesn’t really know them. She’s so real! We love every time Mariah stops by the Clubhouse.
Joan Rivers
Joan Rivers made an appearance on WWHL in 2014 and of course, she was unforgettable. No one knows how to roast a celebrity quite like Joan and we loved seeing her share her candid thoughts on the show.
Susan Sarandon
Susan Sarandon confessed to being a stoner when she stopped by the Clubhouse in 2018. The Thelma & Louise star told Andy she’s shown up high to nearly every Hollywood event, except the Oscars. It doesn’t get much more iconic than that.
Martha Stewart
During a 2020 appearance on WWHL, Martha Stewart threw some serious shade at fellow businesswoman, Gwyneth Paltrow. Martha was asked how she felt about Gwyneth’s new provocative candle called, “This candle smells like my vagina,” and she had some harsh words about the Goop founder. She called the actress’ marketing style “irritating” before noting that she wouldn’t buy that candle. We love her honesty!
Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence is a huge Bravo fan and she never shies away from sharing her hot takes about the network on WWHL. During a June 2023 appearance, she addressed Tom Sandoval directly, letting the reality TV star know she is not a fan.
“I curse the day you were born,” the actress told a cardboard cutout of Sandoval. “You have bad skin…There [is] no amount of spray tan that could ever change the texture of it.” Yikes. We would not want to be him. We could never recover from a JLaw diss.
