In case you haven’t heard, Season 6 of Love Island USA is this summer’s appointment TV. And no, it’s not just because Ariana Madix took over as the host of the show. Love Island UK is typically the fan-favorite edition of the show about sexy singles heading to a vacation villa in hopes of finding love. This time around. the Americans are reigning supreme.
Ariana has been killing it as the Love Island USA host. She’s long been a vocal superfan of the show, so it only makes sense that as her celebrity continues to rise she nabbed the gig. Plus, after Scandoval, she was the most eligible Bombshell of them all. Despite working for her favorite show, Ariana is apparently still as obsessed with watching this season of Love Island USA as the rest of us.
Ariana’s new favorite job
Ariana spoke to Entertainment Tonight online about this season of Love Island USA. While she knows that people love the American version of the show now more than ever, she didn’t take all of the credit for the buzz. “I think that it’s this cast,” she explained. “The cast is absolutely insane. … From the OGs to the bombshells, everybody’s just filling a space that needs to be filled, and make it just the perfect combination of what makes Love Island, Love Island.”
She added that despite working around the clock for the near-daily reality show, she’s still a loyal fan. “I’m even more obsessed,” Ariana said. Apparently, during her downtime in Fiji, she’s constantly watching the camera feed. “If I had the opportunity to watch these islanders 24 hours a day in my hotel room, I probably would never leave my room,” she added. Same, girl, same.
