Slowly but surely, Shannon Beador is moving past her messy drunk driving incident. The Real Housewives of Orange County star made headlines last year for getting too tipsy, crashing her car, and then fleeing the scene. Her beloved dog Archie was riding shotgun, fearing for his life.
After Shannon’s arrest, you might recall that a judge let her off pretty easily. Her punishment included probation, 40 hours of community service, and a 9-month alcohol education class. This month, she officially checked one of those things off her list, so she’s one step closer to putting this mess behind her.
Shannon served her time
According to In Touch, Shannon just wrapped up her community service duties after spending four days working for a non-profit organization. She officially clocked in her final hour on June 13, which was ahead of schedule. The court gave her a deadline of July 16.
It’s not clear what specific work duties Shannon did during her community service. We never saw any paparazzi pictures of her picking up trash on the side of the road, so whatever it was, it must have been pretty lowkey.
You can expect to see some of the aftermath of Shannon’s DUI during Season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County. Cameras picked up shortly after she completed a voluntary counseling program, which she claimed had an “alcohol component.”
You can say what you want about Shannon and her chaotic lifestyle, but hopefully she learned her lesson from this experience. No one got hurt, and she quickly acknowledged that she made a “terrible mistake” by getting behind the wheel that night.
