Kandi Burruss is quieting any doubts about her star power. The Real Housewives of Atlanta veteran just announced that she’ll be joining the cast of Reasonable Doubt. Kandi will make her debut in the second season, dropping on Hulu this August.
Her role is going to be a recurring one, but most of the details are still hush-hush. As of now, it’s unknown how many episodes the former RHOA star will appear in.

“I’ve been so excited,” Kandi shared on Good Morning America. “I have been keeping this a secret, but I have joined on as a recurring star on Reasonable Doubt.”
She joins the cutthroat television show that follows a defense lawyer, Jax Stewart, in her efforts to navigate a high-stakes LA law firm. While doing so, the lead finds her rise to the top threatened by difficulties with her husband and her past.
According to Collider, Kandi will be playing a character called Eboni Phillips. She is described as having a “wild past,” but has since gotten it together and cleaned herself up.
“My character on the show, Eboni, is a recovering addict,” Kandi shared. “So you get to see a lot of emotions play out throughout the season.”
Looks like Kandi’s character will be something of a ticking time bomb this season. Fans will have to wait and see how her character impacts Jax’s story.

Fans were so excited about the news they took to leaving comments on the social media posts about Kandi’s casting announcements.
“I love this,” one commenter said. “You better work, Kandi! I’m here for it.”
Another commenter added, “I’ve never watched it. But, will be watching for sure now, Kandi. Setting dvr.”
Even Kerry Washington couldn’t contain her glee for the announcement, which saw Kandi pose alongside Emayatzy Corinealdi and Morris Chestnut. The Scandal star simply commented, “YES!”
Reasonable Doubt Season 2 premieres on August 22 on Hulu.
