Lala Kent Rejected The Traitors: ‘Timing Would Have To Be Different’

The Traitors almost had another Bravolebrity join the fold for season two of the hit show. Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent was asked to join the cast, but as they say, timing is everything. And unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be for Lala. This is a shame because Phaedra Parks and Kate Chastain could have really used an extra ally to boost their numbers against the Peter Pals. So, why was Lala unable to join the show?

Lala is a busy lady. Not only does she film VPR (for now), but she has her makeup line and podcast. She’s also a few months away from giving birth to her second child. Working and being a full-time mom is a lot on anyone’s plate. This is why sometimes you have to say no, even if it’s an amazing opportunity.

US Weekly reported that Lala was doing an Amazon Live when a fan asked if she would ever be on The Traitors. Lala responded, “The timing would have to be different. Season 2, they approached me to gauge my interest on joining, and the timing was just really hard.” Still, there is always hope.

Lala hinted at the possibility of joining in the future. She added, “So I never really say no to opportunity.” If Lala had joined, I have a feeling she and Tamra Judge would have teamed up immediately. The amount of damage that duo could have caused would have been epic. Too bad we’ll never know.

Lala does have some thoughts on her castmate joining the show for season three. She said, “You told me during the last Amazon Live that Tom Sandoval is on it this season. I’m like, ‘That would be tough.’ Because literally you are either labeled a traitor or a faithful.”

She continued, “If they made him a traitor, it would be too obvious, but if they made him a faithful it won’t be too obvious. Maybe I go with the less obvious choice. I’m really excited. I hope he doesn’t go home — I really want to psychoanalyze all of them.” With all the Scandoval drama, it would be a miracle if he made it past the first night.

Not having Lala on the show was a missed opportunity. Hopefully, she will be able to make time in her schedule to join an upcoming season.

Vanderpump Rules is streaming on Peacock.
