Bria Fleming on Martha’s Vineyard Pause: ‘Slap in the Face’

Bria Fleming from Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard is everything. Not only is she gorgeous, but she also gives the watchers fantastic TV. Every scene with her (for the most part) is drama, drama, DRAMA. And I, for one, lived for her chaos during Season 2 of the Bravo series. However, despite the positive fan reaction from watchers (especially those of color), Bravo decided to pause the show.

Bria shared quick thoughts about the news online at the time. “Yes, the rumors are true,” she wrote. “Our show, SHMV, has been put on pause.” She continued, “While it is disappointing to see this happen, we believe it will inspire us to explore new directions in our careers, personal lives, and businesses.”

Since that post in late May, we haven’t heard much from the cast about the news. But that’s all changing now. Bria finally opened up more about the show’s hiatus, and according to her, the decision was shocking.

Bria said the show’s current status was shocking because they all delivered for Season 2

During a chat with Page Six, Bria discussed how she felt about Bravo pausing their show. “It kind of was like a slap in the face to hear that the show is on pause because it came out of nowhere,” she said.

“I think we were just very shocked and disappointed because we brought it. We brought it [in the] second season. Like, everybody did their part.” She even pointed out the “juicy” drama.

The reality star said the feuds were “all organic,” adding her dog, Milo, added to the entertainment, too.

“I had my drama,” Bria said. “I’m always in something.” Now, that’s damn sure the truth. Thanks to Bria, we got a lot of explosive blow-ups that probably wouldn’t have happened without her.

If the show does return, the pot-stirrer hopes she’s among those to return. “My heart felt like it was [broken] to pieces because this is, like, my dream job, and I know it’s not the end, but we’re so conditioned to go back every summer. August is like, ‘OK, I gotta prepare, I gotta get my outfits and everything,’” she said. “But, of course, we would love to come back.”
