We just got a brand new season of Real Housewives of Dubai. And after S2 filming wrapped, Caroline Stanbury got a brand new face!
The former Ladies of London star underwent a full facelift late last year. While in recovery, her husband Sergio Carrallo remained by her side, and shared with social media that he was brought to tears by her completely elective surgery, calling it “one of the hardest moments of [his] life.”
In a recent interview – and in true Caroline form – she made a rib about Sergio’s crying habit.
Caroline says that Sergio “didn’t really understand what a facelift was”
Earlier this week, Caroline, 48, spoke with Page Six about her November 2023 facelift. Both she and Sergio, 29, were open about the whole process on social media and gave occasional updates on her results. Her wounds are no longer visible, but Sergio crying about it on Instagram still lives on.
According to Caroline (and from Sergio’s reaction to Caroline and her ex-husband taking their daughter on a college visit together), being emotional is just how Sergio rolls. Come to think of it, he does often have a “lost puppy on the verge of tears” look about him.
She joked, “Sergio is emotional when the wind changes…and he didn’t really understand what a facelift was. It’s not like I showed him how I was going to come out, to be honest.”
Although, she says she didn’t understand what she was in for either.
“You guys saw a snippet of it. You didn’t see what was under those bandages, and it was pretty scary. The nurses just hand you back and say, ‘Bye!’ And you don’t know, like, how long is this going to last? How am I going to look? I mean, you look crazy on another level.”
Caroline laughed about her “alien face” right after the procedure, but somehow still thought that might’ve looked better than her former face. Luckily, the alien face was short-lived, and she couldn’t be more pleased with her new look.
“You’re like, ‘Oh, I could live like this.’ So you don’t ever see yourself coming around and looking normal. But you do, and I can’t recommend it enough. I loved it,” said Caroline.
She concluded, “I need less makeup, which is amazing, so I feel great. I absolutely love it. I wouldn’t change a thing. In fact, I wish I’d done it sooner. I knew it was going to be this good.”
Evidently, Sergio loves it too. We’ve now witnessed him ask Caroline to have “tiki-tiki” with him more than once this season, and we’re only three episodes in. Here’s hoping that finding a new term for sex will be part of his storyline, or we might soon be the ones crying!
