The Summer House Season 8 reunion was a chance for Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard to have their final say to each other, and perhaps most shockingly, mushrooms were brought into the conversation. It’s clear that the pair came with arguments to challenge the other’s version of events.
Notably, Lindsay was grilled by host Andy Cohen about accusations that she made about her then-fiancé being high. She was held accountable for calling him “cocaine Carl.”
In an extended version of the reunion, the former PR guru brought up an event that gave credence to her questions about Carl’s sobriety.
Carl and Lindsay revisit the “definition” of sobriety after mushrooms bombshell
In Peacock’s uncensored version of the reunion, Lindsay questioned “what is considered sober and what is considered not.”
“Is weed in the clear of considered sobriety? A week before filming, Carl was on mushrooms at a music festival,” she revealed.
“We took a small microdose together,” Carl admitted. “We actually looked at each other and said, ‘We’re not doing this again.’”
The veteran Bravolebrity agreed with that explanation of events, but pointed out that she doesn’t “claim to be sober.”
Andy asked suggested that she and Carl did not have the same “definition” of sobriety. Summer House co-star Ciara Miller said it was a “crazy” move to bring it up now given that the former Loverboy VP of Sales has been sober since 2020.
“Why are you so fixated on his definition of sobriety?” Amanda Batula asked. “Why aren’t you just supportive of the path …”
Lindsay insisted that she has “always” been supportive on the matter.
“You’re not. You’re so angry that he smokes weed,” Amanda responded. “You told me you don’t like when he does that.”
“Any alcohol that I drank was always used against me,” she said. “I would go out to dinner with a girlfriend and be questioned about how many glasses of wine.”
Amanda was still sparring with her co-star at this point. She told Lindsay it’s because she gets “angry” after drinking. Carl chimed in to say it was “a fair question.”
Not quite the resolution that it could have been. Both parties are still doubling-down on their version of things.
