Caroline Stanbury shared her family dynamic quite a bit on Real Housewives of Dubai Season 1. It was almost a matter of necessity, being that the British expat wed Sergio Carrallo and her family flew into Dubai for the event.
Caroline has three children, who she shares with her ex-husband, Cem Habib. Blending the family with her new husband was part of the Bravolebrity’s storyline. And this season, her daughter Yasmine Habib is checking out colleges in the United States. The trip is to be a family affair, but her specific requests for which members would be involved caused some conflict within Caroline and Sergio’s marriage.
Sergio felt it was “a lot” for Caroline to travel with Cem
During the recent episode of Real Housewives of Dubai, Caroline discussed the upcoming trip with her husband.
“Someone told me that I’m not allowed on that trip,” Sergio said.
Caroline responded, “Well, obviously. It’s her college trip with her dad.”
Sergio expressed his concern about how much time his reality TV star wife would be spending with Cem, including the flight from the UAE. Caroline would, “of course” be traveling on the same plane with her ex-husband.
“So you think it’s normal that you go with your ex-husband on a trip for seven days to the U.S.? Anything can happen,” Sergio opined.
“It’s just a lot, picturing my wife with her ex-husband on a new honeymoon,” he continued. “Just the thought of you going with your ex-husband … there’s just too much on my plate right now.”
The Bravolebrity then became emotional, as is often the dynamic in his marriage to Caroline.
Caroline teased Sergio’s need for closeness
In a confessional interview, the Ladies of London alum explained, “Yasmine is going to go to college next year, so she’s going to America to a college tour. But she’s decided that she only wants me and my ex-husband Cem to go.”
The influencer compared her marriage to Serio versus Cem.
“My ex-husband traveled all the time for work. Every two weeks he was gone. Sergio, on the other hand, can’t travel to the Dubai mall without me,” she revealed.
Recently, the professional influencer updated fans on Yasmine’s college journey. In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, she revealed that her daughter got “offers from five universities that she’s applied to.”
“She’s doing her A levels currently and then she’s going to go to London to university, but she’s extremely excited,” Caroline added. “So, I will be taking her in September and she’s moving out.”
