Some people are like oil and water. They just don’t mix. Carole Radziwill and Andy Cohen are the perfect examples. The two used to be close friends, but that all fizzled out after Carole left Real Housewives of New York. Since then, Carole never misses a chance to take a swipe at the Bravo bossman, and he usually returns the favor.
In their latest exchange, Andy accused Carole of making an “anonymous” dig at him in a recent article. In response, Carole didn’t necessarily deny that she made the off-the-record comment. Instead, she doubled down on dragging Andy, and we’re sitting here refreshing her Twitter waiting to see what’s next.
It all started with a not-so-anonymous quote
This latest chapter of Andy and Carole’s feud came after Andy’s big profile in Vulture. In the article, Andy reflected on his career, the reality reckoning, and how he almost found himself canceled. Overall, the profile was a glowing portrait of Andy, but then, the interviewer got a quote from a former RNONY star who ripped him a new one.
The anonymous Housewife said, “The show went from silly humor about middle-aged women getting drunk and being delusional about their status and having funny, petty arguments, to Housewives investigating and doing opposition research and making up false storylines and leaking stories on each other.”
In the article, the former Housewife also commented on Andy’s baby shower. In particular, she took an issue with the infamous moment where Lisa Rinna told the crowd of Housewives to “get up and dance for Andy and his baby.” Apparently, that felt like a sick metaphor for the entire Housewives universe.
“I just thought it was such a cringe moment,” the former Housewife said. “Because that’s the dynamic. Everyone just dances for Andy Cohen.”
In response to those digs, Andy took to Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live and joked about how it seemed pretty clear who the quotes came from Carole. Andy just didn’t understand why she would provide an anonymous quote for the profile when historically, she hasn’t hesitated from publicly bashing him. Carole didn’t like that response.
A clap back from Carole
Andy’s on-air tirade bout the “anonymous” quotes somehow made its way across Carole’s desk. So, she fired off a few shady Tweets at her former boss and friend.
“Hey Carole here,” she wrote. “Someone can make a truthful observation and there’s always one short-ish dude waiting to be offended. At this point why would any normal person use their name? They’re all so vindictive which I believe is the point of the quote and confirmed by Andy’s nasty response.”
Yikes! That’s some serious shade, but you have to admit that there’s something very special about a drag from Carole. There’s an art to it. When she emerges back into the Housewives world and throws a jab, it just hits differently, even when it’s directed at Andy.
During Andy’s radio show, he joked that the two of them were overdue for a catch-up, and honestly, we’d pay to watch that conversation. Pigs will probably fly before that ever happens, though.
