After tons of rumors since RHOBH Season 14 officially started production, there are some new names who are confirmed to join the show. Viewers expected some newbies since Crystal Kung Minkoff and Annemarie Wiley were both let go after Season 13.
One name that kept popping up is Bozoma Saint John. Bozoma, who also goes by “Boz,” was recently spotted filming with the Beverly Hills Housewives at Sutton Stracke’s event. Confirmed Season 14 “friends of” Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly were also there. For a while, it was unclear if Boz would be full-time or a “friend of.”
Finally, Bravo confirmed she’ll officially hold a diamond next season. And while fans have to wait a bit before Season 14 airs, Bozoma already has the makings of a great Housewife. Here’s everything we know so far about the newest Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, and why we’re excited to meet her.
Bozoma introduces herself to RHOBH fans
After Bravo confirmed her role, Boz made a celebratory post on her Instagram. Announcing “there’s a BADASS in the HOUSE”, Boz’s post included a photoshoot, inspiring quotes, and a clip of her giving a speech.
In the comments section, Boz’s new co-star Garcelle Beauvais welcomed her to the cast. Plenty of commenters wrote that their interest in RHOBH was renewed by this casting news.
Bozoma’s resumé is super impressive
Joining the Bravo series is just one of many extraordinary accomplishments for the entrepreneur. Most recently, Bozoma worked as the Global CMO at Netflix. She held that role from June 2020 – March 2022, and was the streaming service’s first Black C-Level executive.
According to her LinkedIn, Boz’s career began at Spike Lee’s advertising agency. After joining PepsiCo in 2005, she became the head of music and entertainment marketing in 2009. In 2014, legendary producer Jimmy Iovine recruited her to work for Beats. When Beats was purchased by Apple, Boz became the head of global consumer marketing for iTunes and Apple Music. In 2016, Buzzfeed deemed Boz the “coolest person to ever go on stage at an Apple event”. After that, she worked for Uber, became the CMO for Endeavor, and then landed at Netflix.
Bozoma left the corporate world behind for politics and philanthropy. In March 2024, she visited the White House to advise Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. The daughter of Ghanaian immigrants, she is a Special Envoy to the President of Ghana on behalf of the Diaspora and an Ambassador to Pencils of Promise in Ghana.
Boz is also a recipient of many honors throughout the years. For instance, she’s in the American Marketing Association Hall of Fame, as well as the Billboard Women in Music Hall of Fame. Additionally, Harvard Business School published a case study on Boz’s extraordinary career. She’s also appeared in publications like The Hollywood Reporter, AdWeek, and Forbes.
She’s an author
In 2023, Bozoma released a book, The Urgent Life: My Story of Love, Loss, and Survival. Published by Penguin Books, her memoir covers the hardships she faced in her life. This included her husband, Peter Saint John, passing in 2013.
Since her book came out, Boz makes appearances on a number of podcasts to discuss how she navigates grief.
She’s a single mom
Like a lot of her RHOBH co-stars, Bozoma is a single mom. Boz has a 15-year-old daughter named Lael with her late husband Peter.
Throughout her social media pages, the 47-year-old emphasizes that being Lael’s mom is her proudest accomplishment.
She has famous friends, collaborators, and followers
On Boz’s Instagram, she gives shout-outs to her famous friends, including actresses Gabrielle Union, Danielle Brooks, Rosario Dawson, and Aba Arthur. Her book was endorsed by none other than Serena Williams and Quincy Jones.
Even without the Real Housewives boost, she has half a million followers on Instagram. Her followers include some very notable names, such as Keke Palmer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and The Color Purple director Blitz Bazawule.
While many Real Housewives have podcasts, Bozoma co-hosted one with Katie Couric years before joining Bravo. It was titled Back to Biz with Katie and Boz.
Once the RHOBH rumors were confirmed, Boz was congratulated by famous friends like Danielle Brooks, Lala Anthony, and RHOA star Cynthia Bailey. Recently, Boz thanked rumored new RHONY cast member, Rebecca Minkoff, for an outfit she wore to an event.
She has a passion for fashion
Dorit Kemsley likes to think of herself as the most fashion-forward of the RHOBH cast. But she’s gonna have some serious competition now that Bozoma is on the scene. The Real Housewives newbie regularly appears at New York Fashion Week, where she rubs shoulders with fashion legend Anna Wintour. She was featured in Vogue as the “most fashionable woman in Silicon Valley”. Now that Boz is a full-time Housewife, I can’t wait to see her confessional looks.
