Some of us are still adjusting to calling Vanderpump Rules alum Rachel Leviss by her birthname, rather than her former nickname “Raquel.” Now she’s talking about changing it again.
On May 29, Rachel posted Instagram photos from Memorial Day weekend’s Lightning in a Bottle Festival. In her caption, the mental health advocate spitballed a return to her high school nickname, “Rocky.”
“Day 2 of @libfestival I embraced the name Rocky,” she wrote. “Close friends used to call me Rocky back in high school. It felt suiting for the weekend. What do we think?” Fans weren’t buying it.
Rachel wants to change her brand (again)
Rachel also posted an Instagram story, captioned, ”Hi, my name is Rachel. But you can call me Rocky Bang Bang.” Though I think “Rocky” is cute, her followers weren’t here for yet another name change and made their feelings clear in the comments section.
One fan wrote, “Feels like you’re trying to create another identity. Why is it so hard to just be Rachel?”
Another added, “Maybe you could just try being your genuine self for a while?”
“I think you need to use the name Patricia for the next personality,” joked another follower.
Another fan suggested, “Stop picking new names and just live your life, girl.”
Though they seemed to be in the minority, some thought the name Rocky was “cute” and advised her to ignore the haters.
Raquel becomes Rachel
Not long after her cheating scandal with Tom Sandoval was exposed, Pump Rules fans began referring to the girl formerly known as Raquel by her birthname of Rachel. Several of the VPR cast members also began calling her Rachel, suggesting that even her name was “fake.”
In July 2024, the former Miss Sonoma County decided to take the power out of her haters’ hands. “Her therapists explained to her [that] her detractors had weaponized the name ‘Rachel’ to hurt her,” TMZ reported. Rachel reclaimed her birth name in an attempt to vanquish the “trolls.”
Not long after, Rachel changed her name on all her social media accounts and launched her new podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue.
Sadly, after sharing photos from the Lightning in a Bottle Festival, Rachel posted to Instagram that she lost 8,000 followers after posting the pics.
“Welp, I’ve lost 8K followers since posting all my festival photos and videos … oh well. Thank you to the real ones that have been supporting me and want to see me thrive! ily.”
Vanderpump Rules is now streaming on Peacock.
