Andy Cohen has tons of fans and just as many haters. The Bravo figurehead, known for Watch What Happens Live and hosting explosive reunions, has been loved by watchers for years. However, some things have shifted over the last few years as he’s faced allegations from several former Housewives. Now, in a new interview, the New York Times Best-seller admitted he’s “waiting” for the day he gets canceled.
The allegations surrounding Andy
In an interview with Vulture, Andy said he thinks constantly about what he’s done that could cancel him. “Sometimes at night, I’ll be in bed, and I’ll think, ‘Huh, did I say something?’” he said. “I’m always waiting for the thing that’s going to make it all fall down.”
Leah McSweeney, formerly of the Real Housewives of New York, filed a lawsuit against the network and Andy in February 2024, saying producers encouraged her to drink alcohol amid her struggles with sobriety. Later, she accused the WWHL host of doing cocaine and giving favorable edits to the Housewives who partake with him.
Elsewhere in the interview, Andy noted he was “fascinated” by cancel culture. “You have to be smart about what you say because there’s no nuance anymore,” he said. “People are just waiting to be outraged by every little thing.”
Leah’s accusations aren’t the only thing Andy and his team are dealing with right now, though. Brandi Glanville called out Andy earlier this year, claiming the Bravo icon sexually harassed her. She then took to X, formerly Twitter, to put Andy and the network “on notice.”
All of this, however, arrived years after NeNe Leakes filed a lawsuit, alleging racial discrimination on the set of the Real Housewives of Atlanta.
