Popular weight loss shots like Ozempic and The Real Housewives have seemingly become a pretty bonded pair; just ask Terry Dubrow. However, we can count Melissa Gorga out.
During a recent appearance on Sherri Shepherd’s talk show, Melissa claimed that she’s the “only one” among The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast who isn’t using Ozempic, a GLP-1 receptor agonist drug originally prescribed to type 2 diabetics that’s now become a popular weight loss aid.
Melissa said she doesn’t take Ozempic; just works out “really, really hard”
Melissa was a guest on a recent episode of Sherri. The topic turned to Ozempic, since Melissa’s castmates Dolores Catania and Margaret Josephs had recently been guests and discussed their own use of the medication.
Sherri asked Melissa if she also turned to Ozempic. Melissa denied it, and basically threw the entire cast under the bus. She answered, “I think I’m the only one on the cast who does not take Ozempic.”
Melissa added, “I work out really, really hard. To each their own for everything. But no, I don’t take it.”
Joe Gorga was also there, and he and Melissa agreed that they were happy that Ozempic was helping others “feel good” and “look good.”
In addition to Dolores and Margaret, RHONJ “friend of” Jennifer Fessler also admitted to using the meds to slim down. Teresa Giudice and Jennifer Aydin have been accused of using them, but haven’t admitted it.
On the other side of the coin, some of the RHONJ cast are staunchly against the injections.
Last year, Danielle Cabral sniped that people should just “run on a f*cking treadmill” instead of using Ozempic.
Jackie Goldschneider, who’s been open about her struggles with an eating disorder, also once stated that she has no intention of ever using Ozempic.
Rachel Fuda hasn’t mentioned Ozempic either way, but her husband John Fuda recently lost 50lbs. He attributed it to liposuction, peptides, and hormone replacement therapy.
Teresa probably didn’t appreciate Melissa’s latest intimation. Once Tre nails the pronunciation of “Ozempic,” her mortal enemy Melissa better watch out for a scathing rebuttal!
