Although the early casting rumors about Season 3 of The Traitors fell flat, this latest tea seems pretty promising. The word on the street is that two legendary Survivor players will enter Alan Cumming’s castle when The Traitors returns later this year. Allegedly, Tony Vlachos and Carolyn Wiger have signed up for The Traitors.
More Survivor alums are headed to The Traitors
The latest casting rumor comes via Inside Survivor, whose sources confirmed that Tony and Carolyn were headed to Scotland. This is good news for fans, but bad news for the other nineteen reality stars who are competing against them. These Survivor players are going to be stiff competition. Tony is a two-time Survivor winner, after securing victories both on Survivor: Cagayan and Survivor: Winners At War. Carolyn didn’t win her season, but she did make it to the very end of Survivor 44.
Of course, Survivor alums already have a pretty good track record with The Traitors. Survivor alum Cirie Fields won Season 1. Plus, Parvati Shallow and Sandra Diaz-Twine were major players in Season 2, although they ultimately missed out on the final prize. Perhaps Tony or Carolyn can bring home another win for the Survivor franchise.
Filming for Season 3 of The Traitors is expected to start soon, but there’s still a lot of speculation about the cast. Insiders confirmed that Peacock is sticking with Season 2’s format by making the cast consist of all celebrities and former reality stars. A few other names that have been thrown around include Real Housewives stars Dorinda Medley and Dolores Catania, along with Big Brother alum Britney Haynes.
Keep your eyes peeled for more casting details as production gears up for Season 3 of The Traitors. It’s only a matter of time before we start getting official confirmation about who is playing the game.
